Zoe, increase your fluids. You can put a pan of water (like an old cake pan) on top of part of the heater vent or so that the forced air heat blows across the water in the pan. It will help to humidify your environment. Get a cool mist water vaporizer (even from a thrift store--just clean it real well) and use that next to your bed. We spend more time in bed that we do in any other place in the house. Everywhere else you can remind yourself to drink something. While you are asleep, the vaporizer can help keep your mucous membranes from getting too dry. When too dry, more likely to get ill. Change that water every day!!!!

Drink lots of fluids. Wash your hands frequently! (Believe it or not hands are the dirtiest part of the body! Think about how much stuff we touch in the course of a day!) Another biggy, DON'T touch your face. The less you touch your face, the less likely you are to become ill!!! The hands bring most of the stuff that makes us sick up close to where it can do us harm.
