I have not used it but heard the local radio show talking about it. Some of thier friends have met and married people from the farmersonly site but none of them were actually farmers or even country people. Seems they have been over run with city people interested in meeting country folk. I guess if I lived in a major city, I would want out too.

I was on it for a year but no luck. You can set up a profile for free but cannot email anyone. They show lots of local people but not many of them are paying members. I never found anyone in my state that was a paying member. There are very few paying member.

Hey There!
Sorry for barging in
I met some really nice men
on that site ! The problem
for me was distance.
A few have Horses that run events
in Aiken witch is farely close..
Some come to Shooting or Fishing events
Down this way..
I have actually met a few from Your neck
of the woods!That tournament fish..
The ones I met seemed decent respectful
and hard working
And wanting a "REAL RELATIONSHIP"
I have three more years of school
I'm not going anywhere until I finnish..
But you should try it for a short time
and see what you think? Nothing ventured,Nothing gained

I joined that sight thinking I would find someone around here with like interests and who actually was real country as I am but the couple I met from there are in no way farmers or ranchers or anything like what they professed. And peoples, for the record, just because you own 1 chicken does not make you country or a farmer. I cancelled my membership. Was not worth paying for.

Sounds as if it's a waste in Kentucky for sure.
Funny how city folks yearn for what they presume to be "the country" and once they get here, they can't stay off their phone (and subsequently b*tching that we don't have enough signal for their Cricket/Virgin/straight talk devices), won't shut up about "dang, you sure are out in the country" or "it's HOW far to WalMart?", pointing out that there's cow shit in the cow field, that it's 1/4 mile to the nearest neighbor and *gasp* that we're in a DRY county!?!
Wanna-bes are boring.

Was on one Farmers dating site, but no luck!

I yearned for the good ole days of growing up on, spending time with, and visiting my grandparents and families farms of 100 to 200 plus acres. At least they had cattle, cats, dogs, chickens, horses, mules, pigs, and/or other various farm animals. Plus they raised gardens, hay, tobacco, and/or other various crops.

Families, friends, and neighbors were more friendlier, polite, and respectful of each other. Not all upitty with their noses in the air acting better than, holier than thou, etc.

Been on that site for years! Most are just looking for a hookup! Which is a waste of time for me! It's sad there no decent folks anymore looking for platonic friendship or a serious long term relationship that leads to marriage!

Thats for sure. I had a friend from the city come down for a week. The first thing he b*tched about was the dirt roads but he soon noticed everyone waved or hollerd hey when they went by and many were teaching thier children to drive. He know says people around here are dirt road friendly.

Problem I've found is that many of those sites have such a low membership considering we're talking the entire USA. That means slim pickins locally. Of course, like all dating sites there are more men seeking sex verses a relationship.

This.

I tried out the freebie sign up on the site. Most of my "matches" are several hundred miles away. Very little locally.

I did this site and it wasn't worth it! Il was on it for about a year. I found that they really weren't from the country but lived in the city or towns. I didn't have any luck and I actually had some crude sexual remarks made my one of its members in regards to horses.

Yes. Its like anything else. If its free, then there are fake profiles & scammers on there, & if you pay for it then you just waste your money. Either way its a lose lose situation. I have been back on here for over a year & all i see are fake. I havent seen 1 yet that has any truth in it. Prove me that im wrong

i found a farmer gal on here. her profile said she owned some five hundred acres in a beautiful part of the country with a nice farm house, tractor, big barn, a few horses, some cows, chickens. she looked really hot on one of her horses and talked about what a nice, loving, caring and sensuous person she was. so i sent her a message asking her for a picture of her tractor and she's had me blocked ever since.

Well, did ya know that a cow chip was the model for the Frisbee? (There might be an outside chance I'm making that one up! ) But the cow chip was the Redneck Frisbee. And since women were always taking our money, we didn't tip waitresses, we tipped cows. Also, dried cow manure burns hotter and longer for a warming campfire when wood isn't available. PLUS, the smoke is great for keeping mosquitoes away; not to mention a woman's mood! Have you ever went camping with a City Slicker and after a few drinks, you watch them mistake dried horse droppings for meatballs and mix 'em in with their spaghetti! Geeze, anyone knows that a cow chip will cover your place so you can't eat the spaghetti!

Only was able to send and receive messages for TWO days...then it all came to a stop... no sending or receiving... messages..

NO friggin warning...NOTHING...
Complained thru the automated service over and over and each day THAT DAMN message kept saying ...someone will get in touch with you... BLAH...
GOOD luck trying to speak to SUPERVISOR.., or MANAGEMENT ....

THERE IS ONLY ONE PHONE NUMBER I FOUND AND IT WAS THE ""BILLING" NUMBER ON MY bANKING STATEMENT THANK GOODNESS.. There are no phone number on the site for you to call or contact ANY Management people..

THe Billing dept cannot help you ...they only insist that they will tell someone about your dilemma... and a Supervisor NOEVER NEVER calls...!

THE SITE SUCKS...and I merely wanted to meet a Country GIRL who loves ANimals, outdoors, farming etc...

KEEP your Money from them jerks!

So you come to datehookup? What for? Lots of confusion why anyone would object that people from the city connect. Are you looking for a ranch hand or a partner? Don't be insulted unless you are an exclusive site paid for or not.

A farmer buddy of mine used the site and met a non-farmer nurse lady who was interested in meeting a farmer. They live about 100 miles from each other.

It worked for them, they are now engaged to be married and seem very happy with each other. They are both near 50 and neither have ever been married and neither have any children.
