If you feel comfortable with it there's no reason to buy a new one.

Ive been shooting for thirty years.you have to practice often.in warm weather everyday a few shots if possible. 45 lb bow in most states is the lowest for hunting. I shoot a 58 lb recurve. Invest in carbon arrows only. They fly strighter and are stiffer. Any questions im here

I shot #40 recurve bow from 16-38 years old. no sights hunting deer. had to switch to compound bow do to shoulder problems. if not hunting it's fine. just increase/adjust bow pull

If you like it, keep it! you can always get something else down the line but what you have seems fine. I have a Browning microadrenilene compound bow I just love!

Have been shooting archery for 47 years, not a professional, yet very knowledgeable, starter bow is just that, as your skill level advances, let technology advance with it, a bow that was top of the line 5,10 years ago has nothing on a bow that is 2, or 3 years old, or newer, many bow manufacturing companies feature affordable set ups out of the box that in little time can produce a very accurate, proficient archer

I have set up an archery range just for family fun, kinda like badmitten or lawn darts Bought two old long bows of #35 at garage sales had them strung & bought nice but cheap target arrows, two plastic contaners for arrows And a cheap $35 target box for kids. The family all seem to love it, can set it up in no time and take down the same. And it brings out freindly compition even for the ones with high dollar bows that hunt deer & turkeys, just good fun and din't cost a lot.

I shoot in many archery competitions, and have hunted archery season my entire life. I also own a business that manufactures bow strings and cables and the best bow on the market for people just learning to shoot is the Infinite Edge by Diamond.

If you're not looking to hunt and all your doing is recreational shooting then I would wait until you have good form and good grouping to move to something bigger. I started using a 25# recurve and have moved up to a 55# samick sage takedown recurve that I love!
