Thought it'd be fun to know what petiole drive and why?
Maybe it's a POS beater that was passed down to them or maybe it's brand new car cause you've always wanted one of those?
I've got an '02 BMW 325xi. I usually drive much older cars(projects) but this one was too good of a deal to pass up.
Had it for 2 months and now I'm bored of it and looking for something else. I know, I have a problem.

So let's hear it...

I bit the bullet and took on another car loan. I have a 2002 Chevy S10 that just has way too many damn problems and the thing is turning into a money pit. So I busted my a** for a year working two jobs and putting in 16 hours a day until I had almost $4,000 put back. My intention was to go find something else for about that price, but everything I was looking at in that range either was already falling apart, or just didn't seem very well taken care of and was going to be having their troubles soon enough. So I kind of got pissed a little, and even though I had recently paid that truck off and had been enjoying the freedom away from car loans I decided piss on it, and used that money for a downpayment. I was looking at 4x4's for our snowy weather, but I ended up with a 2006 Mustang GT because screw it, if I'm back to making payments then I want something that I'm really going to be happy with.

My favorite truck was a 96. Best vehicle I have ever owned. But at 17-22 miles per gallon.... The age started to scare though. Looked at BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo.... Then went into POd mode and figure "Why do I need a snazzy car? To spent money and make car dealers rich? To feel uppity about my vehicle? Impress the neighbors? Impress a hot date? (Like I ever have one!)All of these things got file thirteened! If I need to impress people with what I am getting for new they are not for me. I figure that to impress the Hell out of my pocketbook more important. So I got a 2013 Camry. Decided that I needed to give my credit score a little kiss. So I got a loan. Credit score didn't need any help. cant go higher. So piss on the payment gig and paid it off. Now all that might not be none to important to all. But I get 32 plus miles to the gallon. Which makes the run to Vegas and back less than $100 in gas. Those that know understand that I am not going to Vegas with money in hand. I have 4 grandsons there that need some attention.

Yep "Born again tight-ass" here.

Drive a Chevy HHR I did have a better car but long story I lost it in a car crash and the only car I could get after was this grey Chevy but it's been a good car very reliable so guess it's not to bad.

Ford Escape 2012, it's my company vehicle. I own a Kia Sportage 2010 but it's in Texas with my parents. I could own a nicer vehicle but I am not needing anything fancy since I work out of town a lot.

2014 CX-5 it's kind of a bright blue. It gets decent gas mileage 26-29 mpg and is all wheel drive. It's fun to drive, I love it. Brings out the racer in me from time to time but I am always carefull. I've had it just over a year now and don't regret my purchase ever.

Nice guys.
Those Chrysler 300's are way cool cars.
I just gotto say something about European cars, I've had 8 BMW's, 3 Range Rovers, a Disco 2 and a couple of Mercedes in the last 5 years and let me tell you, it's definetly not about impressing anyone or feeling snazzy. I think the vehicles themselves are impressive (certain models). I buy and drive them because they are not only cool cars but they are well built vehicles, great design, quality materials that can be seen and felt. Also very easy to work on and there is tons of info online on how to do it yourself. Parts are affordable if you know how to look.

My first Euro car was an '81 BMW 320i. Bought it after I wrecked my Sentra and was looking for something a little different from what you see everyday on the streets. That's where the addiction began, haha.

I don't plan on buying any more German cars... lol
It seems like every mechanic I go to is like, "Oh, a German car...it'll take longer to get to what I need to fix...and the parts are more expensive."

99 jeep grand cherokee...

I bought it used back in '04. I got it so I would be able to haul kids, dogs and pull a two place trailer all at the same time. I could load it with grain and bedding or pull a flat bed trailer loaded with hay.

Now the kids grew up and both have their own cars. Lost the horses due to being laid off twice, in as many years and taking pay cuts with every one.

So now it is an old beater for me and my dogs. I can take them to the river and load them muddy, or throw a bucket of fish in the back without a second thought of ruining the interior. I dont have to be upset with a teenager when they accidently hit it when they pull out of the driveway, denting their own car and not leaving but a scratch on the jeep. I don't have to worry about driving in winter storms and even braved a Montana blizzard first weekend of this past March. She is a gas guzzler for sure, but I dont have a car payment and she has never let me down.

I work for a large auto auction so at work I have the luxury of driving just about every car you can think of. German cars are some of my least favorite. BMW (320i is a chicks car), Mercedes, Audi and VW are some of the worst cars I deal with on a daily basis. There is a lot of truth the saying, “if you’re going to buy a German made car don’t ever buy one that is out of warranty”. From what I’ve found along with others that I work with is German cars don’t age well. I’ve also found that whoever designs the interior layouts on these things must be a sadist. It takes forever just to figure out how to change the radio station or adjust the heat.

So what do I drive? During the week I drive a ’91 Buick Skylark with a 3.3 v6 that I’m certain the former owner was a blue haired little old lady that only drove it to church on Sundays because it runs so well.

On weekends I drive this…………..

1994 Ford diesel truck has 440,000 miles. Its my beater, wood hauler, snowplow truck. I bought a 1994 extended cab diesel a couple of years ago it had 130,000 miles it now has 180,000 miles. Hope it goes as far as the other one. In 2005 I bought a Ford Ranger 4 cylinder for fuel economy. It has 220,000 miles. What can I say, I like to drive.

Isn't it amazing how paid for cars drive and feel much better?
I haven't had a car payment since I was 21y/o but it was a Range Rover so it was worth it...kinda.

That should be a given. But in this day and age, guess that some may not include that in the deffinition of 'hard working man'.

I agree, glad you clarified!
