Actually newlady I excelled in school at every level. I just didn't see the point because I was restless and truthfully I didn't think I was learning much that was useful to me. I wanted to get on with my life after Vietnam and sitting in a classroom listening to profs drone on and on wasn't for me.So I left.I had 20 years in the Distillery and 20 as a game warden.Those vocations suited me. I'm happy with my choices!

No offense taken lady.I was just explaining my decision to drop out of college. In my day there was a lot of good jobs available and I never considered myself as fitting into a lot of corporate settings.After a couple semesters I knew what I wanted to do because I met some guys living around Louisville and got a summer gig at Jim Beam in Bardstown. I liked it so when I was offered a regular position I took it. Making bourbon here is a tradition and something Kentuckians are very proud of, just like our "beautiful horses and fast women"...LOL
