Yes...I agree.
MMA...
Should be kept as a pure form of combat sport...that is entertaining...
Not sports entertainment...
I kinda miss the days of different styles....like Gracie,hackney,abbott,shamrock....when it was different systems of fighting competition....
The new mma where each fighter knows a little about everything....but masters nothing....is ok I guess...
I hope that Dana White keeps the fighters the focus... and not pay per view numbers.....I am afraid that it has become too commercialize....and as you say one step away from monday night raw..

I would like to learn but I don't which one is a good school in Houston Texas. I started going to one but for some reason I felt that the coach was not training me the right way and he was not organized, I stopped going and later I saw that the gym was closed.

There is no need for these prefight confrontations whether they're staged or not. They have also happened in pro boxing (eg. Ali&Frazier).

I liked the initial inception of the MMA where there was more technical and strategic art of fighting. Nowadays, for the most part, it has become a ratings driven business having multiple larger than life personalities (in his prime, Rampage Jackson, Liddell to a degree, in my opinion Brock Lesnar when he was still within UFC). UFC has helped the MMA garner exposure and greatly deserved at its time, but now things are so driven by ratings and larger than life personalities that is taking away the technicality and strategic approach that I grown to love about the MMA to the point where it is becoming nearly unwatchable and is inches close to becoming the WWE save for Rousey, Cain and a few select others worth watching.....gamer
