 Mortal Kombat....lol

People that don't know much about martial arts seem to gravitate towards it. I used to love it but they seem to get more and more flaky with the fighting. It seems like the fighters are fighting with a metal rod in their back. very stiff. That animations look like there resetting to the default pose for every move in a combo. The graphics, level design, character concepts all look good, but the fighting and acting is terrible.

i dont agree with u,in some parts.i used to do Capoeira,which is a little known style in america,but it was never about fighting,truely.u want "true" fighting in a game...good luck!there is a reason why they call it a game,for one!who are you to judge,based off that bs?

yes,mortal kombat is popular!but for good reason.mk is like id's doom!people love it,and always will.embrace it,because it is,and always will be,the king of the hill

 I thought Mortal Kombat was the best 2-D fighter of the early 90's (Sorry Street Fighter fans). I still like the newer MK's, but since gaming went 3-D, Tekken is the King of Fighters! I think the game play is great, and I love the sense of humor in the games.

 I was a fan of the mortal kombat till the 3rd one then the game style changed. It was still okay but not the same. Tekken will always be the best fighter game.

 To say that mk is the greatest fighting game ever is a bit ridiculous. Up until the last Street fighter.. I truly believe that hands down street fighter had the title of being one of the best fighting games.

I agree 100 percent even in their side games like the street fighter ex series and etc I and I'm pretty sure a large number of people still play old SF games to this day. Just don't want capcom to milk SF to the ground in their future installments for SF.

 Street fighter, marvel vs Capcom, capcom vs snk, injustice, virtual fighter,tekken, bloody roar, and soul calibur are my faves.
I like the orginal MKs, havent played enough of the new ones to say anything.

All I play is fighting games and, old school fighting games. Preferably Capcom fighters, and that's why I still have my Sega Dreamcast. I believe that was the last real good system for fighting games. I would like to see another Capcom vs SNK game with KOF 13 graphics.

 SNES: Street Fighter 2, Fatal Fury 1 and 2 (STILL pretty good with Terry or Joe), Teenage Mutant Ninja Tournament Fighters (Donatello, Chrome Dome, Aska, and War were favorites) and yes the original Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. Can't knock the classics.

As for other fighting games, the Tekken series comes into mind, the Street Fighter game with Akuma and Cammy White (forgot the name) and any other fighting game of old played during my childhood before the Playstation 3 era not named Mortal Kombat. The arcade fighting games were excellent as well.....gamer

So throwing a fireball and your eyes popping out of your head from a super combo is real martial arts? Lol

I haven't been a MK fan in years, but people are saying the new one is great. Tekken will always be my favorite fighter.

Can't argue with you there. The Tekken series in my opinion was ahead of the genre and its time in that era. So many memorable fights I had with so many of my fellow gamers.......gamer
