My 1997 honda crv is showing codes P1399 and P1381
When i drive the rpm flutters and when i stop at light it feel like the car wants to stall.
I have new spark plug, wires, distributor (is about 3 years old), new oil filter, new IDK sensor.
Can anyone trouble shoot why my car is still giving the same codes and the car is having the same problems.
Any good advice will be appreciated.

I think you might need to change the distributor.

Interesting, the biggest pos I've ever owned is this '97 powerstroke. And I think it's because it is too new! Had a couple CVCC hondas that got better mileage than my diesel rabbits, both got 50+ without any computer bs.

+1 on the distributor. P1381 is cylinder position sensor which is Hondas term for cam position sensor, which on that engine is part of the distributor. The sensor alone can be replaced, but it's easier to just replace the entire distributor.

I've replace a few of those distributers. I'd like to see waveforms on the distributer pick-up(s) before searching for another.

Try asking your question on Honda-Tech.com again. Maybe you can get your Dizzy diagnosed then.

Thanks all. It was my engine brackets. Hell $500. To change all 3.
I did change the distributor a year ago.

Engine brackets..
Causing engine codes....
And rpm fluctuation....
Yeah that sounds about right....
