THIS IS A FALL FAVORITE IN OUR HOUSE-- easy, budget friendly, quick and most of all DELICIOUS

HAMBURGER STEW
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
INGREDIENTS
~~~~~~~~~~~

1 lb lean ground beef

1 white or yellow onion-- diced

Montreal Steak Seasoning

Lawrey's Seasoned Salt

1 can petite diced tomatoes with juice

1 LARGE jar of beef gravy

1 bag of frozen, mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, green beans)

1 tsp Dried Marjoram

DIRECTIONS
~~~~~~~~~~
1) In a large, deep skillet-- cook up your ground beef, drain and return to pan
2) Add in your diced onion (add some olive oil if needed), Montreal Steak Seasoning and Lawrey's Seasoned salt to taste.
3) Continue cooking until the onion is translucent.
4) Add in the rest of your ingredients-- let simmer for a while to blend the flavors.
**You can either serve over some plain or garlic mashed potatoes (I often "cheat" and get some pre-made Bob Evan's mashed potatoes, usually 2 containers)--
You can also make like a Cottage Pie--
1) Just pour the stew into a lightly greased casserole dish
2) Top with the mashed potatoes and a sprinkle of paprika
3) Bake @ 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes until lightly browned.
All kids of chili -- I posted my Crock Pot White Chicken Chili recipe recently-- for my Hamburger Chili-- I put broken up raw spaghetti noodles in it just like my mom did-- I sneak extra veggies in by using V8 juice too
I also like cream of mushroom and wild rice bakes - with either chicken drumsticks or thighs or wings, or porn loins in it. Very easy, dump it all in a baking dish and pop in the oven. Sometimes also sprinkle on some fried onions.
Went down to the farmers' market today and scored some fresh sweet potatoes so I am baking a sweet potato pie right now.
Went to the farmers market as well, picked up 3 varieties of squash and melons! I love squash, made acorn stuffed today! Made a salad with sliced watermelon and anise with olive oil, spice and orange dressing. Yum!
I've combined cubed butternut squash, baby carrots, Braeburn apple wedges, chunks of sweet onion-- tossed with: olive oil, salt, pepper, cinnamon and a drizzle of honey-- spread out on a cookie sheet and roasted in a HOT oven til all caramelized.
SO good with a roasted pork tenderloin or roasted chicken
I wanna try this recipe soon-- only 2 Ingredients I'll probably sprinkle with some cinnamon/sugar for a bit of crunch
Directions-- 1- box of Spice cake mix + 1- 15 oz can of 100% solid pack pumpkin-- fill muffin cups 2/3 full-- bake @ 350 degrees for 20--25 minutes
Another great fall recipe is BISQUICK Pumpkin Bars with Raisins and Cream Cheese Frosting-- I've made these many times
I'm gonna get a crock of Chicken Stew later today-- it has chicken pieces, carrots, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, green beans (added at the end), garlic herb seasoning, cream of chicken soup, white wine and Herbs De Provence
I think I'll also make some yummy Cole Slaw with apples and raisins added in
Last night I did a Pork Tenderloin with some honey, apple butter and a smokey mesquite rub-- in the same pan-- I roasted: baby carrots, cubed up butternut squash, Johnagold apple chunks and some sweet onion pieces-- tossed with some EVOO, salt & pepper, honey and some cinnamon-- It was SO yummy
I also made some Pumpkin/white chocolate chip cookies that I got at Aldi's (the kind you just place and bake) some of the cookies had NO chips and some had a LOT-- but they were pretty yummy despite that
