I've always been torn with this subject. I like older than me but not very old. Lately I've been changing my mind on it and really not minding the idea of 40+ men.
Any thoughts?

My exhusband was 7 years older than me so it really wasn't a big deal. I think if they're very much older than that you really won't have too much in common. But hey, whatever works I guess!

Well I've been talking to this man and already went out with him. He's great, we have so many great things in common. He's 45 and at first it worried me since it's 17 yrs age difference. But the more I talk to him the less it bothers me. Hmm idk.

I would not go too much older at my age.

If they are older many of their body parts may not work.

I still want to have kids. I want a father figure who will be able to take an active part in raising them and playing catch and teaching them how to fix their car, etc. I am not interested in dating any older than 7 years older than myself at this point in time

I'm not a young lady. But i'm guessing most stay with in their fair range.

Seem's most men but not all seek younger,to try and keep their youth moments. But at the cost they usually can't mentally relate.

I totally agree with you, with many older men young women can't relate to them.

With this man we talk and never run out of things to say. Best thing is that we get each other. We tell stories about our lives and even though we grew up in different times, we grew up very similar to each other. Plus it doesn't hurt that I love and know so much about different decades that really makes it seem there's not an age difference at all.

Maybe I'm addicted to him idk lol

I was with a man 21 years older than me for over 18 years, we had a son & shared a lot in common, treated me with great respect,I will never forget the good times we shared,we parted ways after our son passed away, we drifted apart,I wouldn't hesitate to date another older man...

I had one bad experience dating a much older man back in high school. I told myself I would never date a guy who was more then a year or 2 older then me. However, I'm currently dating a great guy who is 8 years older then me. I'm glad I gave him a chance because he is the best boyfriend I have ever had!

For a long time I would not date anybody 5 years older than me, just for the fact that there would not really be a lot of common ground, experiences, interests etc. After I met my current boyfriend who is 8 years older than I am. You could not tell we have a lot of common interests and it is not that much different. When he talks about when he was 20 I would say "Oh Wow I was in 7th grade then" then it does kind of sounds bad or creepy. So I quit thinking about it that way. I say if you are ok with it and the man you are with likes the age difference than go for it. Not totally guarantee he will be mature just because he is in his forties. I know a lot of men in their 40's and they are no different in maturity than a 20 something person. Are you looking for a mature man that does not bring drama with him? just curious is all. Good Luck.

My boyfriend is a grandpa and his grandchildren call me "Me-Maw" and I love it. To me it is the greatest you get all the fun of young kids without really having to raise them. I already have 2 adult children, my 20 year old is already married and my 22 year old son is dating somebody and still lives with me until he can save up the $$ to move out so "starting over" is out of the question. I am looking forward to being a grandma to my kids' children AND enjoy the reward of my boyfriend's grandkids. But sometime I can see where it would not work out. You are still 30-do you have your own young kids? Just curious. Everybody has their limits and I respect that.

Because my age most of the men who ask me out are grandfathers. Since I never wanted to have kids you can rest assured I don't want somebody's else grand-kids to call me Granny, Me-Maw or any other name...so, I don't date them.

Another problem of dating grand-fathers is that he will have to postpone planned activities to babysit the kids whenever their parents want to go out. Not for me.

When I was younger I had that range of 5 yrs on both sides till about 45.Then my views changed.Only because I'm done raising a child, and he threw collage, and education paid.I like the freedom of possiable dating older now.Because most men are children free. And you can make plans spur of the momment.
