I hate it when my son gets sick. And I don't have back up anymore. I don't want my ex back, but it would be nice to have someone there to help me when my child is sick. It's exhausting.
My son is worth it, but sometimes it's just hard!!

Yea my son woke up with a belly ache and threw up, thankfully he is back asleep, but it's hard. It kills me to see him in pain

And I always think that if I were to just hang in there and keep pushing maybe I can find someone else that we both can take care our kids together and when your kid is sick get him a pet ??

I have great insurance as well, but when it's 2 in the morning, and he just has an upset tummy and he throws up, it doesn't mean in going to rush him to the E.R. Just because your child is sick doesn't mean you take them to the doctor.

All 3 of my kids have a cold... I'm not complaining.. It's natural, kids are bound to get sick...

Excuse me?? I do suck it up, I have been there every time my son has been sick. I wasn't really complaining because I would rather take care of my son alone than have to deal with my ex. All I was saying was sometimes it would be nice to have someone helping you out. Be the tag team parent. I was venting! That was a very long night my son wasn't feeling good and I was exhausted!!!

And yes I agree it's part of growing up. My son had a cold right now as well. He has been a little grouchy but very snuggly which I love

It depends on the illness. There are many things to do, some fast, some not so fast. The medical industry treats symptoms, mostly.
Vitamin C, about a gram per 40 pounds of weight twice a day. After 100-150 pounds 4-5 grams is fine.
Zinc, 100+ pounds once a day with food. Smaller, cut in half. USDA, and processed foods are designed to make us deficient.
Echinacea, 100+ pounds 3-4 caps twice a day.
Keep up the regiment for 3-5 days after symptoms disappear.
Always plenty of liquids, rest, warmth, soup, and anti-histamine as needed to reduce the tickle. Guaifenesin is good to help loosen mucus. There is much more, but that should help a lot. There's no need to become sick, our immune systems just need a boost sometimes.

Yeah, its definitely hard doing it by yourself. I haven't taken the kids on vacation for a while, because I usually burn up my vacation time with doctors or staying home with them when they get sick.

wow people are vain on here I think if people want to act like they're all that and a bag of potato chips that need to just shut the damn mouth everybody hands up having their hard days and has their own way to release

It's all good. It happens, everyone has their own opinions. If someone wants to come across as an a** or a b*tch... Then let them, no skin off my back.
My child gets sick, I take care of him, I'm only human to want someone to rub me on the shoulder, give me that encouraging word, a hug, or even a break when I've been up with my child all night. I don't have that, and I am ok with that, but doesn't mean I don't want it on occasion.

It's hard raising kids, specially when you are a single parent. I remember when my son was little, I was up all night when he had fever, bad coughs, stomach flu & Dr appointments...had to use my vacation time to stay home & take care of my son, when he gets better I'll get sick  ... My son is older now & when he get sick, I have to go pick him up from school & take care of him. I still do get up middle of the night & check on him make sure he's ok  It doesn't matter how old they are you'll be there for them & take care of them but it'll get easier & you'll get more sleep when they get older

When any of my kids are sick it's one of the hardest times being a single mommy. Times like that is when I wish I had that extra help
