So far I have been successful with pizza.

Very successful with Stromboli. My son hates when they grease the whole thing up. I made 4 for a scout family dinner. Not a single piece was left. I received nothing but compliments and was told to go show the pizza places how to do it right. I brush it wil salt water and sprinkle with Parmesan

Everyone loves cheese wonton, but it is like $30 bucks to buy everyone in the family a order, plus my kids dislike too much greasy food. So I made them at home and baked them. I even make the wrapped myself. very time consuming but delicious

So tomorrow I am making cheese wonton, and crab ragoons. I am also giving wonton soup a shot. Last time I bough a quart and the oldest daughter wiped most of it out. So I am going to make a pot. I am cheating and bought the premade wrappers. I think I need the pasta attachment for mixer then it would be easier to roll the wrappers out.

Wish me luck.

I have also made curried chicken and pork fried rice. Did a copy cat on a Cracker barrel dish made in cast iron skillet it was rice pilaf with chicken, cheese and veggie topping. Came out better. Also made this Shrimp roasted corn and pepper chowder. It took me a whole weekend to make and it was better the the restaurants. The instructions take up a whole sheet of paper written very small. They could not give me the recipe because the get it from a distributor. so I went and ordered it 3 times picking it apart. Then tried finding recipe and had no luck, but did figure out it was a cross between a chowder and bisque. I still have no clue how I nailed it. I did roast the corn and the peppers and used shrimp stock I made from saving shells. Plus I had tons of shrimp in mine.

I love trying to figure dishes out that I like.

So anyone out there that have a really good tasting one, please share I would appreciate it!!!

I can make anything at home that one can get at a restaurant, so I don't bother going out to them anymore.

Add quesadillas to the list. Broke out the Panini maker. I have been making them all week by request from the kids. Very little fat.

Getting much better making bread. Gonna shoot for making artisan breads next.

Cold brew coffee. Surprisingly VERY easy. Now I don't have to spend all that money at a specialty coffee shop.

Have a few Cajun restaurant recipes for gator, but mainly old cracker recipes for wild game is what I use. A BOGO BK Whopper is the extent of my restaurant eating

Walkabout creamy onion soup from Ourback...yum
One can each Campbell's cream of onion, celery, and mushroom soups
One box chicken or vegetable broth
One large vidalia onion, chopped
Two tablespoon butter

In a fry pan, melt butter. Add onions, and slowly carmelize them to golden color over medium low heat. Pour everything into soup pot or slow cooker to bring up to temperature. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and serve.

I've worked at chains and local eateries for years and by being patient, paying attention to the different ways the same food is made, you can do your own. I make fried spaghetti with red peppers, bits of celery and light oil with noodles; works even better during lent but I digress. Getting fresh Italian sausage and making into balls then rolling them out can be a Grinder for length or a Special; Local Sandwich made square on a bun with mustard and a bit of shredded lettuce in the sandwich, adding provolone or swiss makes it even gooier like the restaurant!

I see, I like crab ragoon & good luck with making cheese wonton, crab ragoon & wonton soup. I tried to make Applebees Maple Butter Blondie & I think Applebees Maple Butter Blondie tastes better than the one I made.
