Even tho I don't get my period any more (ty DR at 56 whew) yes it's normal on heavier days.Odds are your clotting and passing clots.Quite normal for woman who have had children. You can try by drinking more water to help,or other option is a DNC.Water does help a lot,but DNC will help 100%.But you may have to go again later in years..Your medical Dr will advice you.
Nothing to it.
I opted for ablasion but I was 56,NO periods at all now.Danced for days.

Yeah, like they said above, its sounding normal. I would guess its not more than just a heavier part of your cycle and when you sneeze, your stomach and diaphragm muscles contract tight and release. When the muscles contract Im sure the uterus also gets contracted and it pushes the flow towards the cervix, then the flow escapes at a faster rate when the muscles relax for a moment. Many women also have stress incontinence when they sneeze as its the exact same premise. I'm sure you know moms who accidently leak a little pee when they cough or sneeze. If you're truly concerned please see your Ob/Gyn.

I had a hysterectomy 25 years ago so no period since (thank god) but I used to have very heavy flows..sneezing or coughing, standing up after sitting would all make a steady flow...i had to use pads with a tampon during the night..it was awful..

Oh yes, diet plays a big role in your symptoms. Caffeine can make cramps worse & sodium makes you retain more water so you're bloated.Drinking more water actually makes passing clots easier. Every woman is different so just pay attention to your symptoms and what you ate that may be contributing to them.

I had the MAJOR clots for a very long time. I never found a doctor willing to help. Now I'm done. Menopause came very early for me. Doctors only said stress can bring on early menopause. I don't know. My sister is 10 years older & I went through it before she did. Yay, no more monthly for me. Nay, I never got to have children. What's done is done, for me.
Alady is right though. My mother had DNC's - & quite a few. I now know that many Catholic women (back then) were having this "procedure" done quite often. What many women don't know is that before abortions were legal (& OUR RIGHT), doctors just used the term "DNC" to get around calling it an "abortion". However, that doesn't mean all DNC's were used for that purpose. "Back in the day" that's how the "well to do" got around the law that we now know as our "right to choose". And I'm sure if our "right to choose" is ever taken away, that term & medical procedure will be much more common - for the "well to do" once again.
There's always a way to "purchase" your "choice" in this country if you have the funds to do so. If you ask women in the less fortunate communities, most of them have never even heard of the term.
Not judging anyone here. Just repeating what my Godmother & my other aunt (who was a nun) told me as I got older. Just glad I'm past that point in my life.
Get a 2nd opinion & a 3rd & 4th, if necessary. Be proactive. Only you can decide what's best for you.

Don't be surprised if one sneaks back up on you! I've known many women who thought they were done, & voila, 2 years later, it came back. THIS is when many unplanned pregnancies happen. (that's how I ended up being on this earth) For some women, it can come & go for 5+ years.....
