I own a generator but I dunno shit about it other than to fill it up with gas, change the oil every so often, and pull the starter cord.

Goober, you know more than most! Might I suggest you keep Stabil in the gas? I have used it for 9 years, every spring my lawnmower starts in first or second pull..

One of the few products that really works  Keep it in everything I have in Alaska and they sit up to 10 months at as low as -30 and always first of second turnover they go. I Stabil!!
