Since IAC acquired this site, it has gone downhill, fast. Many of the problems seem to a product of neglect, along with deliberately downgrading or disabling certain features.

You broke it. You should fix it.

IAC, your affiliation with this site is tarnishing your company's reputation. Right now, it appears to be an abandoned ship. I'm very disappointed in your product. I'm not alone in this opinion. Get with the times. Either you fix this site and do right by its members, or sell it to a company that cares.

If anyone agrees that this site will do better under another owner, please feel free to post. If you believe that IAC is doing a good job, feel free to support the current owner and given state of this site.

Having the majority of dating sites owned by one company, that doesn't really care about its members' success or happiness with their product, seems like a really bad idea.

The initial intention behind creating a free dating site similar to FaceBook was honorable. Many of us really like this site. Somehow it became about profit and sustaining a few cush jobs.

Get with it IAC. Put some quality effort into this site, or sell it to someone that can.

If there isn't any official response to this topic, in say a weeks time, then it will be obvious that this site truly is an abandoned ship. A relic of the 90's.

This place does have a following. There's no reason to neglect it.

Additionally, a company should care about its reputation, along with the reputation of Online Dating.

IAC, what's going on here?

What I think happened and reasons I think it's happening. Hackers taking down the moderators. Reason? Look at all the people sending the same message under different names. This is a classic social engineering trick to get people to click a shelled link, giving the person on the other end access to your ip address. If you end up paying for something on a shelled site, you give them access to your credit and debit card information along with the social security card that is hooked up to it. I only know this because I used to do shit like this. I stopped, but I still know the tricks. I also know counter hacks like ddos mitigation which will send someone's ddos attack right back at them. My suggestion to the owners is get mods that can work around certain hacks and give the mods vpns so they can come back and finish banning them. They should also do ip bans so they can't make new accounts.

I wish they would sell the site to someone who would take care of it. To say that it has gone downhill is an understatement. A lot of good posters don't post anymore.

It's not just about the forum. The dating side to this site, the reason for "DateHookup.dating", has been neglected as well. It's outdated and overrun with bots/fakes.

I do believe that just about any other company would do a better job at managing this site.

Thank you IAC for trying, but you've completely dropped the ball. It's time for you to sell this site to the lowest bidder and get this place off of your portfolio.

You people are wasting your time. This website will be shutting down soon. I tried to contact them 6 months ago and never a reply back. The inmates are now running the asylum.

Maybe not, but if enough people flood it, they might start reading them. Doesn't hurt to at least try.

So, someone is actively changing this site...

Now everything's all stretched out, similar to the way it looked on the desktop version.

I totally agree, this site has went down hill fast since the new owners have taken over and yes it's definitely tarnished their reputation in my eyes.

Sell it to someone who actually knows how to run it. Dustin didn't have any problems running it at all.

They don't want to fix it - they want it shut down because it is competition for their pay sites
