i can't beleive how excited I am about getting this!
i already have the spot for it and if it wasn't for the problems i am having with my van radiator - i would already have the materials to put the foundation together for the greenhouse... as it is, i have to make arrangements to get a lift into town to pick up the materials along with finding someone to help me unload it when it gets here!

I'm hoping it adds a lot to the value of this place...
With all the pot growers that were cramming into this place and now dumping and running away, my property with two greenhouses on it will become that much more valuable. The rules were changed last year and now they can't grow pot outside so it has to be grown indoors! Having all the permits etc. along with water etc makes this place that much more enticing to anyone of them looking for a place that's already set up for them to grow in!

In the meantime it's gonna just end up being another place that ends up full of crap - the way things go around here!

OP my brother-in-law bought one of those i like them i am going to get one for my self this fall i live in north west Florida it gets cold here not sure how i am going to heat it.
i went down to Bradenton Florida and helped him put his together it was very easy
we didn't anchor his down and the day after we put it together a big wind came through and picked it up and put it in the canal behind his house
need to bolt it down they don't weigh much and they are like a big pairashoot

I got mine for $599 delivered!
It hasn't arrived yet but that's what I have paid so far.

I have the area somewhat cleared and ready...

My plan is to put it on doubled up pressure treated 2by6's all the way around the base and then put heavy things on the 2by to work as anchors. (Such as planters or shelving)

I am also going to be siliconing all of the windows as i put them in...

Does it have any provisions for venting excess heat during warm sunny days? Or can you build something into it when assembling? I know we live in similar zones, but I have winter days that will bake anything inside a closed greenhouse or cold frame. I've been looking at ones that have opening vents along the roof peak and gable fans, but they have narrow doors and I want to be able to drive my JD Gator inside to load or unload materials. I really like yours and it gives me some ideas and options.

tbird...

it comes with 4 large opening windows up in the peak - they appear to be about 2' by 18"s from what i remember...
very large for sure...i did not get the self openers yet though - they run about 26 bucks apiece and right now i will have to just use my hands to take care of it until i pay the thing off a bit...

picked up 2 by 6's yesterday to use as a base for it...
pressure treated - 2-12'ers and 2-10'ers
and the same in non pressure treated so i can double them up...
it was all i could do to get all of that into the garden area from my front gate...
as a matter of fact, it was all i was able to do yesterday...
spent the rest of the day pretty much stretched out on the couch after that...

i inherited a large industrial style shelving unit and i'm hoping to incorporate it into the greenhouse hold down system! Put part of it on the 2 by material as weight and anchor for at least one part of the thing...

i really wish i was able to put it on a nice straight and level concrete foundation, but that ain't gonna happen anytime soon, so i gotta do the next best thing...

I have started on the foundation boards...
With my back the way it is, this is not as easy as it used to be...

It looks like I will not be able to keep the arbor up or the sunflowers in there so part of the next phase of all this, is that I now have to spend the time, energy and pain, to take something out of the way before I can keep building!

I only have enough to go so far ya know!!!

Despite your back, you are really making headway on the foundation. Good to hear about the vents, manual operation is fine until you get going and see the need for automating them.

tbird...it's not so much get going and need them - it's as soon as i put it up i need them - just can't afford them right now! they are about 27 or so $'s a piece and i need 4 of them!
it's like 100 out there right now and i'm putting up a frickin greenhouse!

i've already figured out what i am going to use for a temporary shade cloth for it once i get it up...

later on i will buy some more of the actual shade cloth,
like i use on my west porch to keep the place a little cooler...

Need/afford, whenever you can update the vents will be fine. I know I would have a learning curve with a new greenhouse, so it will work out.
You are getting good stuff done despite the heat. It is the same here in Ga, I can't get much done during the day and do what I can in the evening. Mornings I've been picking blueberries and then watering just a few plants at night. My "red haven" peaches are almost ripe. Undersized because of how dry it has been here, but they will eat just fine.

I checked on openers and the HarborFreight ones look like the least expensive but also not very long lasting...i'm also going to add things like stiffeners and a box fan with a louver window in the west peak...

Still have not heard from the shipping company...

this is looking south
