I have had fibromyalgia for about 10 years and recently it's getting unbearable. I'm just wondering how others treat their's. My doctors tend to treat each symptom separately instead of the disease as a whole. Even the fibro drugs seem to be for pain and many of the side effects are all the symptoms I have already so I won't take them. I welcome any insights anyone has in what helped them.

I've heard that exercise helps with it. I know someone who walks a lot and swears it helps. I've had it since college and just bear with it. I have good days and bad. I have used my TENS Unit to help.

I heard water therapy might help. I have to look into it.
I know exercise is supposed to be helpful but it's hard when your tired. I'll look into lyrica. Thanks for the input.

Make sure it is warm water. Most pools are about 75 degrees. I found 84 degrees is helpful

Lyrica at night is good. I also exercise 30- 45 minutes a day and drink water for many reasons. I have many other things going on but lately have exacerbated this problem for some reason. My diet is clean and I try not to exceed 30 gm of sugar a day.
