What were your favorite games for NES or SNES? I am going to start playing my old consoles again and may buy some I never tried. I think the main popular one for snes I never bought was chrono trigger. I may buy goldeneye for n64 also.

I didn't have either of those systems, but I got plenty of chances to play them in college. Some of the games that stick out in my memory are the Contra games, Tecmo Bowl, and a baseball game (can't remember the name).

The baseball game I liked was called baseball stars. I think it was the first one ever available where you could name players and have it track stats etc. there were some other good baseball games for both of those systems, but that one was the one I liked, personally. Some other usually good ones were some in the bases loaded and rbi baseball series and I think snes was one system that had one of those baseball simulator 2000 games or w/e.

I just played goonies II, which I had bought at some point, but not got around to playing, and it sure seemed dumb, so I didn't bother much.

I am mostly playing mike Tyson's punch out because I never finished it or if I did, I cheated with a code.

Hmm I remember these games dragon warrior and dragon power which I never finished as well, but I cant find many of my games. And no I don't want to use an emulator etc.

If you're up for a real challenge, go for the nes game the immortal.
It's a really tough game, extremely easy to die, and a lot of fun. By the time you get through the third room you'll have prolly been killed a dozen times.

dragon warrior 1-4 were great games for the nes. They are what got me into RPGs.

All the NES Ninja Gaidens, Contra, Mega Man 3, Super Mario Bros 3, Double Dragon 2, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario RPG, and more are among my favorites. I love retro gaming.

I tried Earthbound and Chrono Trigger as friends recommended them but i can't handle the grind from the random battles. I like the story though. Maybe if there is an easy mode hack out there!

I've been playing Fire Emblem which has been translated by fans and i find it quite an advanced game. Maybe because i am not a hardcore gamer! lol But i like all the fan translated japanese games that never made it here. Alot are rather crazy.

Bomberman is great when you are drunk and have friends round.

You don't have to be a hard core gamer. You at least tried those games. Maybe you would like the Metroid games?

On Snes, nothing is quite like seeing Super Mario World, for the first time. That, Zelda, and Super Castlevania IV
