I think God is what is. So, in that sense God does indeed exist. If you are talking about an invisible supernatural entity that stands apart from everything else as "creator", then no. That's just another santa clause or easter bunny.

That is because most folks only think of God in the traditional sense.
God is really a verb not a noun.

The absolutely unexplainable nature of consciousness is proof for me.
But I dont hold to traditional archaic notions of God.
I think certain rituals and meditations developed by a few religious traditions can open some doors.

I believe in God, God healed me 4 months ago. I was found dead in my car, after shocking me and doing CPR they found out that I had a heart attack. Only 6% survive the type heart attack I had, I was showing signs of brain damage due to being dead for so long. I spent a month in the hospital and I have no brain damage and my heart is doing fine. God can work miracles and he is real.

Medical science can work miracles too . These miracles were taught to them by the physical environment . Whatever is inside of us , is inside everything that surrounds too .

"To believe in a thing or fact without troubling to investigate it, does not in any way do credit to an intelligent man. On the contrary it reflects adversely on his ignorance or credulity. Any belief not based on personal experience and verification of the facts, has little value."
Kirpal Singh
"Look for and search for God within yourself, within your own body. God resides inside - look for him there. The white point shines straight ahead and twinkles. You must concentrate in sushumna [inner passage or tunnel, central channel, middle path**] by leaving the restlessness of the mind behind. Where the subtle sounds vibrate in the ajna chakra [third eye center, point between the eyebrows**], stay and make your dwelling. The Door is subtle and sushumna is the Point or Window. With great effort, you can go through."

I had a woman's heart artack caused by stress, and I had a viral illness go to my heart, and satan didn't cause it. God allows tragedies and other bad things to happen for a reason. We may never know the reason, he can allow things to happen in your life to get your attention. He tells us in the bible everything happens for a reason that we need to only trust him and he will see us on the other side of the storm.

The evidence is the bible for you to investigate whether God is real or not, you just have to read the bible. Jesus says in the bible "the rapture will happen and only my father who is in heaven knows the day and time" there are signs he spoke of in the bible saying" there will be earthquakes and war, families will turn against families. Christians will be hated and persecuted for following me" it's all happening now. How can you not believe in God after he said in the bible thousands of years ago that message and everything he said is going to happen is happening.

The evidence is the bible for you to investigate whether God is real or not, you just have to read the bible.
There is no evidence in the bible about whether God is real or not. These are matters of belief. And...
Jesus says in the bible "the rapture will happen and only my father who is in heaven knows the day and time"
Jesus said no such thing. The word "rapture" is not even in the bible. You're adding your own thing to the scriptures.
there are signs he spoke of in the bible saying" there will be earthquakes and war, families will turn against families.
There have always been earthquakes and wars and families turning against families.
Christians will be hated and persecuted for following me"
Poor babies.
it's all happening now. How can you not believe in God after he said in the bible thousands of years ago that message and everything he said is going to happen is happening.
Stuff happens all the time. It's ongoing. I predict it will snow this winter. See? What's hard about that?

Your right it doesn't say the word rapture, but rapture means to seize or snatch. He warns us of his return for all believers in Mathew 24 1-51 or in other words the trumpets will sound and in a blink of an eye believers are going to vanish when he comes for us.

Q: You've mentioned that the Bible hasn't been translated accurately at all.
Naturally, when one thing has been translated from one language to the other, first of all you won't find suitable words. The other thing, translators who are not well conversant with the theory, practically, cannot give the right interpretation. Bible gives reference to some things that Christ said. Christ was Word made Flesh; the right interpretation can only be given by Him who is Word made Flesh. Emotions or feelings or drawing inferences are all subject to error. Seeing is above all. Those who saw gave out something in words which can only be rightly interpreted by one who Sees.
Q:I was wondering though, is there any particular translation which is better than others?
The original Bible was written in some other language. [Aramaic] That language I don't know. This was then translated into another language, then into Latin, and from Latin further into English. There have been so many versions, one, two, three, like that, and ultimately...? The result is before you.
Only such things can be relied on are those which have been given out by the Master directly written in His own hand. You may hear something, but you may not catch fully what Master says; you will give it in your own version. Even the versions given by those who had met Christ would not be as totally reliable as given out by Christ Himself. So these scriptures can be correctly interpreted only by those who See.

In my opinion, supernatural counterintuitive agents with human-like minds but lacking bodies such as ghosts, ancestral spirits, God/s or whatever, do not exist outside the human mind. What exists is the mind's capacity to imagine these agents and to believe that they have some crucial strategic knowledge that is of value to humans and therefore requires appeasement of the agents with pledges of allegiance, costly ritualistic behaviours, prayers, gifts and sacrifices etc.

I'm no coward and have stated my opinion many times.
But since you are too dense to understand ..... I'll state it again.
Since it is a known fact that matter cannot be created or destroyed but only change states ..... that matter is in a constant state of change ..... the only logical opinion would be that matter has always existed in one form or another.
The big bang in my opinion was a major transformation of matter from one form to another.
So there is no reason to believe that there is a need for a first cause that started things going ..... thus no need for a creator.
Now it is your turn ..... please explain the flaws you see in my opinion.

Has science actually come to the opinion that nothing existed prior to the big bang?
I did say it was my opinion ..... nothing more than an opinion can be made since no evidence exist for anything prior to the big bang.
My opinion is based on the theory that matter cannot be created or destroyed and that matter is in constant mode of change.

hmmmmm. perhaps you can show me where in your quote, "Since it is a known fact that matter cannot be created or destroyed but only change states ..... that matter is in a constant state of change ....," where i might have misread. here you're simply dead f**king wrong in coming to the opinion that you did. matter is created and destroyed all the time. you might wish to look into the concept of the conversion of massless particles into one or more massive particles such as is being explored in the large hedron collider as we speak. sail, i have a religious friend who is every bit as well read in the sciences as i am and i mean to tell you that although he would never try to prove god to you with his scientific knowledge he would damn sure cloud up and rain all over some of the shit you're throwing out here.

this is precisely what i'm talking about, my friend. what YOU think that your best guess is is of no consequence in any debate unless you've firmly established your credentials as regards a subject for your best guess to carry any weight. opinions are one thing and scientific facts/theories are something quite different and when you come to an OPINION based on scientific theories, something no astrophysicist would ever do, you devalue science down to exactly what the god fearing folks already believe; that science is nothing more than something that people read about to form their beliefs and opinions and in that regard no different from scripture. it's all a matter of how we chose to opine and on what basis we use to come to our opinions. something that science has nothing to do with.

stephen hawking has expressed much the same. to put science on some ultimate pedestal in our infancy as humans would be atrociously arrogant. not exactly those words but something like that. we've barely learned the alphabet. wasn't long ago i couldn't even spell 'quantum physics.'

Actually, I should have said the Law of Conservation of Mass-Energy.
There is a scientific law called the Law of Conservation of Mass, discovered by Antoine Lavoisier in 1785. In its most compact form, it states:
matter is neither created nor destroyed.
In 1842, Julius Robert Mayer discovered the Law of Conservation of Energy. In its most compact form, it is now called the First Law of Thermodynamics:
energy is neither created nor destroyed.
In 1907, Albert Einstein announced his discovery of the equation E = mc2 and, as a consequence, the two laws above were merged into the Law of Conservation of Mass-Energy:
the total amount of mass and energy in the universe is constant.
Mass however can be converted into energy and energy can be converted into mass ..... the total amount of mass and energy in the universe remains constant.

Don't twist what I said!
I said:
Mass however can be converted into energy and energy can be converted into mass ..... the total amount of mass and energy in the universe remains constant.

The laws of physics has to suck for the common religious loon. It just gets worse when laws of physics breaks down as it does all over the universe in places that have an infinite gravitational force. Black holes. The the mind of the religious loon is a kind of like a black hole where no light can shine from. They forced to think in magic much how someone with a schizophrenia does. Perhaps this can be called the Black-Lud-Fog equation that sums to zero.

Whoops! I misspelled Blake-Lud-Fog equation.
Would any of these idiots or any other idiot provide evidence that their god exists? The kind of evidence strong enough that blind faith isn't required because there are facts that cannot be denied.

neither the theist nor the atheist can provide evidence of god's existence or nonexistence. each always fails to prove himself correct or the other incorrect. some things cannot be known by the human mind.

A human mind in what condition? If it isn't known by the human mind doesn't mean it can't be known when discovered. If you can show us that there are things that exist or can exist and yet cannot be known then you have a case.
You may have a partial case in Heisenberg's uncertainty principle which states you cannot know the position and velocity of an object at the same time. However, it is known the object itself does exist. You need to show us there are objects that can exist but cannot be known at all even without instrumentation past, present and the future.

Of course, being any of the three monkeys would probably a good reason to not know of things that do exist.
