Her statement, released just hours after the New York Post broke the story of Weiner’s latest sexting scandal, said: “After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband. Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life. During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy.” The word came only hours after Weiner found himself in the spotlight again. “While his wife, Huma Abedin, is off campaigning for former secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the New York Post reported Weiner has been sexting another woman –at one point posting a raunchy selfie with his 4-year-old son in the background,” USA Today said. “The Post published the selfie, which shows Weiner with a bulge wearing only white boxer briefs. His son is lying next to him in a green blanket. The tabloid also shared screenshots of the pair’s exchanges, which began in late January 2015 after Weiner direct messaged her on Twitter. Their conversations continued through earlier this month.” Abedin, herself, has been under fire lately for emails she sent while working with Clinton at the State Department that appear to show a direct connection between donations to the Clinton Foundation and access to the secretary of state. “Huma has chosen Hillary over Weiner obviously in more ways than one,” said talk-show icon Rush Limbaugh. “I mean, the idea of the possibility of becoming Hillary’s chief of staff obviously is a very attractive thing particularly when Huma has not been chief of her husband’s staff, obviously, for quite a while.” WND earlier carried the report that according to emails released by the State Department, Abedin at one point left classified government information that needed to be burned in the front seat of her vehicle. “Favor” is the subject of Abedin’s July 20, 2009, email to Lauren Jiloty, Clinton’s personal assistant. Judicial Watch obtained the records and hundreds more pages of Abedin emails as part of its ongoing Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department. “I’m going to have ambassador ride on next drive,” wrote Abedin. “There’s a bunch of burn stuff in the pocket of my front seat.” She also was revealed to have been involved with, for a decade, a radical Muslim publication that opposed women’s rights and blamed the U.S. for 9/11. Abedin had published articles in the Saudi Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, working under her mother, who remains editor-in-chief. Regarding Weiner, CNN reported in 2013 that the former congressman, who left office when caught sexting in 2011, had had “online relationshps with three different women.” At the time, Weiner said that might not be all, either. “There are a few. I don’t have a specific number for you,” Weiner said back then. “There are people I’ve had exchanges with that are completely appropriate, and that there are no pictures or illicit texts or anything. Now if those people want to say they don’t like the exchanges we had either, I don’t know where to put them.” The Mail reported Abedin was in the Hamptons after a Clinton fundraiser Sunday night just before the latest news broke. “Photos taken of the political staffer show her in high spirits at around 7 p.m. as she and boss Hillary Clinton headed off to a fundraising event at the beachfront home of Marcia Riklis after a very lucrative weekend during which the campaign raised millions,” the report said. “Later that evening, Clinton was photographed as she departed Riklis’ home and got into her waiting van. Moments before a dejected looking Abedin was also photographed as she exited the event.” Today, Weiner deleted his online social media account. The Daily Mail story, which was published last month and picked up by other websites, cited an article in a Slovenian magazine that claimed the modeling agency Melania Trump once worked for in New York during the 1990s also functioned as an escort business.
