Your relationship lasted 2, 5, 10 or 40 yrs? So what...Is this a success?
Lust isn't love. He/she didn't kick the sh!t out of me or yell at me today or he/she cheated but I forgave them and we are back together or he/she is great in bed or has $ or oops I am pregnant we should get married...are these truly relationship success stories?

But on what terms? Whats the readon for the break up? Cheating? Lying? This isn't successful its failure.
My grandparentsxwete married 60 yrs, this kind of marriage can't happen today.

A good relationship is two people who are determined to do each other good -and willing to change to do that better. That always includes some sort of education -formal or otherwise because we are not born knowing how to do things, and can benefit from the experiences of others. It is especially necessary when one was raised in a less-than-ideal situation, and did not have good examples.
A good relationship makes people better and better off than they were.
We really have relationships with everyone we interact with -and we should try to be a positive influence and example for everyone.
In a romantic relationship, this eventually and ideally means doing so as long as the two live -but even the romantic (not referring to sexual) relationships we have before we find "the one" can and should make each better -even if the two have to go their separate ways.
Success takes two people who are determined to create success -who know how -and who consider the other, rather than simply what they can gain.
It is possible, and does happen.

having things in common,an lovin to do the same things,i really was like ..one..with my wife,most of the time,we did stuff together,planned an looked forward to it, before she died she said she was sorry for being mean at times,an she was mean at times,but was forgiven witrhout askin..love..takes no thought of the wrong done against it..not easily provoked,or jealous.....we did all things about together,and..we liked it that way together.........

Doesn't matter, as I said if you plan on only being in a relationship for a limited time the reason for it's demise isn't important to the fact it was successful while it lasted.
As for your grandparents...being together for 60yr doesn't necessarily equal success unless that was the only goal...you can be with someone and still fail if most of your goals are not fulfilled.
Many people remain in miserable marriages for various reasons...longevity isn't necessarily success...
