 God's laws and man's laws do not always agree. St. Thomas Aquinas said that governments exist, not to extinguish all vice, but only those vices that disrupt public order. For instance, thinking lustful thoughts is a sin but even Hitler and Stalin couldn't enforce a government law like that. And in some countries attending a Christian worship service, or even displaying a cross, is a crime, certainly not a sin.

 We need to distinguish between sexual desire and lust. A man meets a woman and finds her attractive. Nothing wrong with that. Even if it's someone else's wife. It crosses the line into lust when we deliberately desire to have sex with that person. It's a matter of degree---a little wine is good, three bottles of it not so good. A hickory smoked hamburger is good, ten of them in one sitting not so good.

Desiring sex with one's spouse is certainly not a sin. Thinking about it is not a sin either, unless maybe one drifts into another lane while driving, or fall off a ladder or crashed an airplane while flying, etc.

 Harm is the only sin? I can buy that---all our sins harm our relationship with God, or prevent us from having one in the first place. And all our sins harm other people, either directly or indirectly by the bad example we give. But Nonstandard, the rest of the stuff in your post doesn't make a whole lot of sense, at least not to me. Could you elaborate?

I'm glad you asked . We're born with an illusion necessary for all mammals to survive. YOU ARE NUMBER ONE . This is the illusion that keeps all mammals alive . Every living thing is born with this belief . Not because its true , but because it keeps things alive .

LIFE , on the other hand , teaches love , synchronicity , and harmony . The world that presents itself , showers us with knowledge . We use it to build , and create everything we know , and we would'nt know shit , if it did'nt show us .

The mind that controls everything we do , wants to shower us with our desires , and wishes . It wants to create what we desire .

The universe that controls everything we know , gives us boundaries . Boundaries that interfere with what the mind wants to convey .

We can pretend to escape life's boundaries , or we can accept the rules that govern our universe .
