I attended Colorado State University years ago and now, I make films.
I am a widower, disabled and military veteran (peacetime/Cold War) and I make films and practice electric guitar, e-drums, etc. and it's relaxing. I was a journalist before the wife died and now I'm self-educating to be a filmmaker. I'm hoping to make a few for the Colorado film festivals someday. Anyway ...
Just finished with a Missouri court case where I was charged with a greater crime, but really I made two marijuana films about the prosecution of an elderly music producer and military veteran for using weed for his leukemia. I invited the president of a legalization group, then had a chat with the prosecutor and they charged me with a serious crime. It's a complex story, but in the end, I paid a fine for "Defective Equipment." A bad car muffler. Punishment for making the films.
I got out of the ICU last July and I don't drive, can't really work, so I make films. Can't take pills anymore Doctors told me to move to a 420 state. Can't really afford it and I'm really too old to be moving alone.
Dudes, I made marijuana films and the government slammed me for it! Isn't that the craziest stuff you ever heard? And my muffler is fine on the Jeep that I do not drive.
Here's one film and the music producer's name is Dell Mack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSXCjSHwhb4

Anytime you promote drug use of course any government entity will be there to dissuade you from it. Once you make it and goes beyond state borders, it's Interstate Commerce which the Fed will interject themselves with criminal penalties and heavy fines. Any schedule I drug falls under federal regulation. The VA can't as policy recommend weed for it's clients however a bill has been introduced to change that but will fail in committee. If your civilian doctor wants you to start smoking weed then they put there license in jeopardy and possibly being barred from practicing medicine again.
As for here in Colorado; this is by definition an Experiment limiting where you can smoke it, how much you can posses, and what counties can opt in or out by electoral vote of the people. The where; if you own or pay a mortgage that's not Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae or be on HUD terms then you can do it in your own house but outside is murky, neighbors can't smell it and you have to not be seen smoking it. The feds will still seize owners property unless they show they've used it as a rental and jump through the hoops laid down for the seizure process. Pueblo County since the first of the year has had 30+ Illegal grows mostly from out of state renters(Florida) and the homes altered via electrical, structural, windows blacked out along with more water than needed. Since 64 passed, Pueblo city/county has had crime rise nearly exponentially from possession, home invasions, break-ins of cars at shopping centers, beggars wanting any money for weed or heroin also. The city and county are putting opting out to a vote in November since we didn't have a say of wanting it by election. The Pot industry is claiming it's "Keeps Pueblo Working" to that effect but how can people work if they can't pass a drug test. There's work here but why work when they can beg and harass people for it?
