The common religious loon insists their god exists. They do this without any facts or plausibility whatsoever. Would the same religious loon consider it stupid that large groups of people insisted that pigs with wings is a reality?
Perhaps this pig exists on another planet. Perhaps this special pig once existed on Earth but has gone extinct. Perhaps there were cave drawings of bird-like porcines put there by ancient winged pig worshipers. Maybe one day someone will discover fossilized pigs with wings. There is hope. Despite the lack of any evidence it's adherents devote their lives and morality to flying pigs. They have faith.
Would the everyday religious loon think something is very wrong in the mind of the flying pig worshiper? Perhaps believe they're delusional. Isn't it obvious that even the moderate flying pig worshiper is delusional?

Jainism,one of the oldest religion is based on atheism. As history tells us, the prevailing beliefs in jesus's time was zoroastrian and Jainism so then it begs the question, who is more likely to convert? In this scenario they obviously bet on a more manageable mind, an empty one,in this case. After all the atheists at the time already made up their minds.

Many follows of the pigs with wings have seen them and hear them communicate their will to the followers. Some have even felt their presence.
Some might ask what's going on here? Who is seeing pigs flying around. How are they feeling their presence? They are delusional and hallucinating. Is that right?

There are 4 forces that affect the ability of something to fly. Lift, thrust, gravity and drag.
Over come them, and in the right mixture, any thing can fly.
At one time, people thought it was impossible for man to fly. For they did not yet know or understand that it was possible. Does that mean, that because they could not see these forces that allow flight, that they did not exist?
Now, I could make a pig fly, sure. Not sure how humane it would be, strapping wings on one, and creating thrust by a propeller strapped to its nose, or rocket in its butt, would be? But pigs can fly.
All this proves is that the laws of Physics are true. No, I cannot prove to one who does not believe that this proves that there is a God. But neither can one disprove that there cannot be a God, because laws of physics do exist.
The one who first discovered the laws that affect the ability to fly, did believe in a God.

Religion is all about blind faith and one's level of piety is measured by their aversion towards knowledge and verifiable facts. Religious belief isn't about anything that is actually true because it's make believe. It's made up stuff that is for the most part nonsensical, absurd, and ignorant. Before anyone can have a delusion, that the kind stuff that has to be believed in as if it were true. Only then it can become an obsession.
