Got my 2017 Delux Highlander Cushman ll yesterday. Is flat Black with electic start 14 hp motor, & looks great to me anyway Was super hot when it came so I waited till the sun went down to take a short ride seams everything was working ok, it is larger than I expected as it is not sized like to the old Cushman highlanders but more to the Cushman model 60 & is likely taller than the 60 model. Right now I am sure I am the only person in my state that has one To hot again today for a fun ride

Did you clip the barn door on the way out or did it just vibrate loose? How do you like the ride? What kind of warranty does it have ?

Motor scooters that were popular during the 50s-60s. You could get a drivers permit at 14 for the 5hp version ( I delivered newspapers on mine, and the papers paid for the scooter)
.
They lead many a young boy to a love affair with 2 wheeled transportation.

I have found that the turn signals are faulty on the Cushman ll
They are just glued together & can not stand up to my country roads.

Well I guess they won't last on these Arkansas roads then. But who cares the old cushman's didn't have them either. I bet I could find some turn signal to bolt on from an old honda or triumph.
If not I still remember the hand signals

Was a hard decision for me the Eagle or the Deluxe Highlander But I am happy with the Highlander & may still well be if I had chosen the Eagle

Yeah I was looking at the eagle because that was what I had as a paperboy but the new eagle doesn't look right to me, it is too long and the tank looks little and the motor should fill the space under the seat.
Looks like I need to pick the highlander or the step through.

They will be taller than the old scooters and my highlander is just bigger than the old.
BUT it feels, drives,& sounds much as an old Cushman & starts better

I do like the mule alot seats 4 but the back seat folds up and you get a biger box in back, got a roof & windsild for 10k has 620cc motor & 20 hp and has a governor that keeps top end at 23 mph by the Cushmans speedomeeter so the scooter is much faster at 60 oh and forgot I also have a winch mouted on the front for

I know the feeling. Had planned on several extended tours when I retired, but broke my ankle and leg bad right after, so have had to alter my plans. And even bought something I never thought I would, a car with a paddle shifter.

Got bored so went back to work, but with all the heavy traffic clutch work takes its toll on my ankle. oh, well, next best thing and still better than an automatic.

Hardly rode at all last year, its better lately though , so am hoping I can ride more this summer.
