I know this isn't a new topic but with the messages I've gotten lately, I figured I see what y'alls opinions are too
Here are a couple things that have bothered me in recent messages. Typically makes me not want to even open it to read it in its entirety:
Don't use a poster's legal name, even if you're on an alt they don't know you have. It seems a bit stalkerish if you already know their name but have never communicated (or they are unaware you have communicated in the past)
Don't ask about their family if you only know they have family because the profile says so.
Don't send two word starter messages like "hey *insert pet name here*
Don't forget punctuation and sentence structure. No ghetto text speak.
Do keep it simple, with something to respond to.
Do sum up your life and what you are looking for in 30 words or less. No one wants paragraph starter packages.
Do keep your porn star graphic photos to yourself.

Well...I'm more understanding than you think.
I understand that women don't want to appear too forward and all that.
Which is fine and I understand the why's and why nots...its the pointing of the finger I have a problem with and the lack of understanding and care....things that were "once" associated with women.
We are back to the " if you could walk in their shoes" thingy.
But maybe all of this is a good thing.
Its better to know the truth, then to be guided by myths and legends that perhaps never were.
To be honest here. A person could follow those guidelines and still strike out. If he looks decent and tells her what she wants to hear, even if its not the truth....he stands a much better chance at success.
and that's the real deal here...and the proof of that is how most women here follow these fakey white knights and all their B.S...on the forums.
That's my answer for success...even though I don't follow it myself.
I prefer just being myself and being truly honest...if that's not the best formula for success.
So be it.

They don't have to know your email addi at all ... all they have to do is try and log in to DH using your nickname and click "forgot password" and it will generate a 'renew/update password' email.
