Know many addicts?
Prison won't make 'em quit.
Drugs are available in ALL prisons.
Court ordered rehab, won't make 'em quit.
Court ordered "meetings" won't make
an addict quit.
An addict quits, only when an addict
wants to quit.
Reporting an addict to the cops,
won't make an addict stop being
an addict.

Want to change things....LEGALIZE it....
It is not now nor has it ever been the place of the government to tell people what they can or can not ingest...
Look at countries that legalized drugs...
The problem got smaller not bigger...
We seem to be just fine with allowing Big Pharma to continue to sell opiates, people can ingest the drugs if they have a prescription...
Will people take to much...a few...
Less however it there was a legal avenue to pursue...proof is in the pudding look at the countries that made the change...

Doctors being busted all the time for these "pain clinics". Strong laws on the books to go after the supplier and users are committing crimes to support their habits. No good comes to using or legalizing this drug.
You need more and more to get the high and eventually you cannot afford to support your habit. Not like MJ where you can take one toke and put it down.

How dumb it this statement...
If it is legal....you do not need to commit crimes to obtain the drugs...
I have been heavily involve in the national PDMP project...
This has Pharmacy report to the state all controlled Rx dispensed...
Why was this needed....because people were farming pain management clinics to sell the pills illegally...FOR THE MONEY....not the drugs themselves....
In the first few months it bust several drug rings...SELLING PAIN PILLS...
Individuals would go to 5+ Clinics a week...get a prescription from 5 different doctors...Then go to 5 different Pharmacies to fill the script...
And no one was the wiser as neither the doctors nor the pharmacies talked to one another AT ALL...
dumping all this data into a central database uncovered a huge enterprise...
Walmart...CVS...ECKERD...PUBLIX....Walgreens....
30-60-90 pills per script...street value of $20+ per pill...
Th ones busted were not actually taking the pills themselves...they were doing it to sell them to those who are addicted...
WHY because by keeping them illegal we create the market place for them...

No one gets addicted to anything because they want to be addicted. But we have to save them from death, before we can figure out how to stop them from damaging themselves with whatever they are hooked on.

Just so you know, the CDC or FDA I forget which has revised the dangers of prescription pain killers.
They have admitted they are not as dangerous as they previously reported. However this hasn't made it to the mainstream media news. Doesn't fit the narrative.

For those that say making these drugs legal will reduce their usage. Explain this.
In 1898, the Bayer pharmaceutical company began selling diacetylmorphine, trademarked Heroin. In 1906, the American Medical Association approved Heroin for general use, and recommended that it be used in place of morphine. At the time heroin was thought to be none addicting.
In New York City alone there were 200,000 heroin addicts. So, in 1914 the Harrison Narcotics Act was passed that was an attempt to stop abuse of cocaine, heroin and cannabis. Under this law, it became illegal to own, use or be addicted to illicitly-obtained narcotics.
So even before these drugs were made illegal thousands of people just in NYC alone were addicted.
Making these drugs legal would reduce drug related crimes but not their use.
Heroin usage in America fell to almost nothing during WW2 simply because the Military was securing our borders. These drugs were not making it into America.
Stop the supply and you stop the use.
I have always said that we give the addicts help and convict then put to death the dealers and producers.

The more people who give on life and OD the better. This eliminates social problems and reduces medical costs. We want good Republican citizens who can contribute hard work, energy, and intelligent effort to the great Trump revolution. Drug addicts and other wastrels weaken the social structure of our country, and they look bad laying around on the sidewalks in a drunken or drug induced stupor.

There is a certain percentage of society that will get addicted to something, anything.
You ban one thing and if they can't get it they just move to another substance.
In a free society a person should be able to do what they want. Take drugs or kill themselves if they like. Long as they don't infringe on anyone elses rights.

There is no such thing as a victimless crime. When Joe middle class average American gets hooked on heroin or some other legal or illegal substance his family becomes the victims. His family's rights have been infringed.

Now you added a bit there. Joe American can be an alcoholic and still work and provide for his family if he is married.
Joe America can use drugs and still provide for his family.
Joe America can be single. No family. Use drugs and not harm anyone but himself.
All this ultimately falls on the shoulders of the J()()Z. They push pornography (most porn peddlers are J()()Z. J()()Z run the fed. Have our country hopelessly in debt.
People have no hope and turn to drugs to get thru the day. Take their crutch away and perhaps they will shoot a bunch of people.

It's all about "protecting our shores".
You hear that mantra a lot from various political groups.
To be able to do that requires the actions we must take on other shores.
If heroin is really the problem, find the poppy fields in the world and take them out.
You can't tell me that Obama's use of drones in fighting terrorists has not been a very successful and appropriate way of taking out the worst criminals and terrorists in the world.
Use the drones to take out the drug cartels and poppy fields.
In fact, since terrorist organizations use those same poppy fields to generate money for their terrorist organizations, you can kill two birds with one Drone!
We have the technology- Let's use it!

I'm what u claim good conservatives are stupid.
I've been on my own since 15.
I've NEVER been on welfare, never even drawn unemployment, I've worked 2 or 3 jobs at a time to support my family (single parent of 3) I served in the Navy, started my own biz, and recently retired.
Sounds like what u claim to believe right?
Oh, I also haven't cut my hair in 20 yrs., luv to smoke weed, and hate phony b*tches like u.
See I'm my own man, not some wannabe drone, spouting party rhetoric.
Grow some balls!

I don't care how you drink water.
Do you find the war on drugs, and US Army guarding the source, to be hypocritical?
