Same as it always has. Cops catch criminals after the crime is committed, not after assuming there might be a crime committed eventually. Those who don't mind losing their freedom in the name of safety deserve neither.

If it was a stolen car, police would have the description and plates before even knowing who is inside. If they racially profiled, that's wrong.

Stop and frisk was not racial motivated, known or suspected were stopped regardless color and if there is a disparity of color in a very troubled area that's what they deal with.

This is the same type of argument people make towards the legalization of drugs. Gotta prevent children from doing drugs, so let's put drug users in jail. How's that working out?

I have no problem preventing senseless murder so long as it doesn't infringe on freedom, which stop and frisk does. Not too mention, stop and frisk doesn't prevent murder any more than restricting gun sales does.
