Why does it bother you so much if someone who isn't American participates in discussions about American politics?

Please show me where it says this is an American forum.

Hasle, this is a public forum. Anyone can comment on the discussions going on. Just because I commented on what was being said to someone else doesn't mean I have a crush on them. It's ok to participate in conversations between others here.

When I ask direct questions, which is not often, I'd prefer they answer, not a conversation bomber.

Butting in when I'm having a direct convo with a certain person. He can never speak for himself because you're always butting in before he can answer.

As near as I can tell, they have some weird belief that they own the internet... Or something.

Needless to say it would blow their minds to realize how much more skin I have in the game than they do.

It bothers them that you understand what's going on with American politics more than they do. So, they do what they know best and attack you for it. And now me, apparently, for asking them to show where it says this is an American only forum. I've noticed that Cafe is not providing that answer.

Ok, you're always right in your own mind. Can you ever sit back and let somebody post without sticking your nose in every post? No offense, but you're getting very annoying

Or
Perhaps you haven't a life and you believe it's your forum to take over.

Nope, it isn't my forum, nor am I trying to take it over. The point of using this forum is to be able to post when we want. If you want a private conversation with someone, you have the ability to do that.

If you don't like what I have to say, you can block me if you choose.

Women clearly need to look around at the Trumpian backlash towards their protest to assess what kind of people they are dealing with. Typical reactions:

- "Look at those dirty wh*res"

- "They should get back in the kitchen"

- "They are ugly and disgusting"

- "Why are they making such a fuss anyway?"

- "They should just lie down and take it like good little girls did in the old days"

Of course I'm sure none of this is lost on the women of America. You've got 4 years, Repubs (probably 2 for Congress.) Make the most of it I guess!

Wearing vagians, using the likes of Madonna, having young kids carry signs talking about their p*ssy. A real well educated group of women for sure.... And those that were half naked now that was a shot to the eyes.

One woman had a sign that read. My legs are open for refugees. WTF did that mean.

An outspoken critic of Israel, Sarsour avidly supports the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement, a Hamas-inspired initiative that uses various forms of public protest, economic pressure, and lawsuits to advance the Hamas agenda of permanently destroying Israel as a Jewish nation-state.

More than once, Sarsour has expressed her support for Sharia Law. On May 12, 2015, for instance, she posted a Twitter message lauding the fact that Sharia forbids money lenders from charging interest on their loans: “You'll know when you're living under Sharia Law if suddenly all your loans & credit cards become interest free. Sound nice, doesn't it?”

In November 2012 in Baltimore, Sarsour—ever eager to peddle her woeful tale of Islamic victimhood—spoke at a Muslim Public Affairs Council conference titled “Facing Race: Xenophobic Hate Crimes.” This is the same Council that views the murderous Jew-haters of Hezbollah as members of “a liberation movement” that is “fighting for freedom.”

I love the irony here.

You posted a public thread. I responded to you. Some random member of the Trumpian hive mind "interrupted that discussion" (fair enough imo - Again, public thread, on a site which also facilitates Private Messages if a poster doesn't want their response to be public) with some rant about her misinterpretation that this forum is actually "American Current Events and Politics".
City responded to that other poster's response. All of a sudden City is attacked for her 4th-party response to a 3rd-party response?

You must find these rules of forum conduct very confusing. Where can we review them to make sure we stay onside?

Sure, but those women were going to vote Republican regardless. They are the ones Trump has pointed out would vote for him even if he raped and murdered a 14-yr-old girl on TV in the middle of 5th Avenue.

What is going to change is that the 10s of millions of moderate women who stayed home last November will be making a point of coming out to vote against Trump in 2020.

...lol - Pardon me, I just looked back through this conversation to make sure I had my facts straight about the "interrupting" thing.

So the "conversation" City "interrupted on my behalf" was actually between a 3rd party who either has me blocked or vice versa, who wouldn't be able to see my posts but was b--ching about something someone had quoted, with a like-minded 4th party. City was actually the 5th to join that "conversation". I had said nothing to either of the Trumpian women, and had no intention of doing so since they hadn't said anything worth responding to (although I might have pointed out their error in imagining this forum is exclusive to the US.)

Ah, social conservatives are "funny" (strange). Grow up and try addressing issues instead of exclusively resorting to personal attacks that just reflect badly on you.
----

On that note, OP, have you gotten around to explaining why you think the fact that one of the supposed organizers of one of these marches (who nobody ever heard of before Breitbart attempted to promote it as fake news) is apparently Muslim, and not ashamed of it?

One of the great things about the popular movement we saw expressing themselves on the weekend is its inclusiveness. Women of all shapes, sizes and colours (and men) coming together to support each other and refuse to allow the alt-right to suppress all dissenting voices (as we are observing with Trump's immediate counter-attacks on anyone who dares to question him.)

Do they have a valid concern? Obviously yes, based on the social conservative responses that prove them right.

Trump's rise to power has had one big and unfortunate unseen consequence, in that it has served to legitimize some of the darkest recesses of the American public and psyche. Two years ago most of these rabid social conservative animals would have hesitated to express their vile and venomous beliefs publicly because they knew they wouldn't be acceptable... Now they've been invited to crawl out from under their rocks and tell "those wh*res and b--ches to stfu and get back in the kitchen where they belong".

The b--ches are serving notice that they aren't going anywhere. More power to them!

And no, it isn't all some ISIL plot - lol - I give your handlers credit for some imagination on this one at least!

After seeing how many marched, I wouldn't assume that.

You do realize don't you the co-organizer of the march despised Hillary and fully supported Sanders. HRC's name was not even on their list.

Today in the news it was said that Elizabeth Warren is losing ground and that 61% in her state think it's time for someone else to take over for her.

The march was a hodge podge of several agendas nothing really focused. We won't see this again. Their message if they even had one was lost in the crude way they protested.

If Trump just does half of what he said he would do he will be reelected.

Linda Sarsour, one of the organizers behind Saturday’s Women’s March, being held in Washington, D.C., was recently spotted at a large Muslim convention in Chicago posing for pictures with an accused financier for Hamas, the terrorist group.

Sarsour, the head of the Arab American Association of New York and an Obama White House “Champion of Change,” was speaking at last month’s 15th annual convention of the Muslim American Society and Islamic Circle of North America.

While there, she posed for a picture with Salah Sarsour, a member of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and former Hamas operative who was jailed in Israel in the 1990s because of his alleged work for the terrorist group.

Salah Sarsour, who is also a board member of American Muslims for Palestine, served as a bodyguard of sorts at the convention for Sumeyye Erdogan Bayraktar, the daughter of Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Let's see if trump start acting like an adult, rather than throwing temper tantrums on Twitter first. And let's see if he lives up to his promises.

Start acting like an adult? In a country where feminazis march on Washington with p*ssy hats while Anthony Weiner is sexting their teenage daughters... Trump is adult enough by comparison.

I'm not speaking for you, but you're b*tching because I've chosen to speak up. You're b*tching because you've claimed this is an American only forum and someone who isn't American provided his opinions. If you don't want to read opinions of those you disagree with, why not block us, rather than b*tching about it so much?

YOU are the whiney b*tch and YOU put words in my mouth. I NEVER said what you said I did and you twisted my words that were in the form of the question, NOT a statement, Stop YOUR b*tchin'. People keep blocking you then you will have no one to argue with.

He never said that.

Obama bucked Congress, sent $221M to Palestinians on final day in office

By ANNA GIARITELLI 1/23/17 6:02 PM

The Obama administration sent $221 million to the Palestinian Authority on Thursday, despite congressional Republicans' efforts to block the move.

Former President Obama's staff informed members of Congress early Friday about the decision, though a few lawmakers were notified Thursday evening by then-Secretary of State John Kerry, according to a report.

Although Congress approved similar funding requests in fiscal 2015 and 2016, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Ed Royce and House Appropriations Committee member Rep. Kay Granger, of Texas, placed holds on this year's request because of the Palestinian group's attempt to join international organizations.

The money will come from the U.S. Agency for International Development and be directed toward humanitarian aid efforts in the West Bank and Gaza.

The administration also ordered $6 million in foreign affairs spending, including $4 million toward climate change initiatives and $1.25 million for United Nations organizations.

President Trump has vowed to be an ally to Israel. Over the weekend, Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and invited him to visit Washington next month.
