If a Muslim, even a radical Muslim, even a radical like Osama Bin-Laden or the Ayotollah Khomeini, knocked on my door and said he was starving, I would give that Muslim food.
If there were a drought in some Muslim country, I would be in favor of sending food there.
I don't want to see anybody starve, Isna, I just don't want the U.S. to become a Muslim-majority country governed by sharia law.
Me? If they surrender ? Sure I would feed them. But until they did, knowing how they have treated the Yezidi, moderate Muslims and Christians over there? I would use any thing I could to kill them. Starvation if that worked.
But I do not believe in ignoring the plight of their victims. Where ever they are.

Isna, in a way it is very good of you to have compassion for refugees. And yes, the moderate Muslims (the ones who don't really believe in the Quran, a minority of them) are victims of the true-believing Muslims, and yes, Christians in the Middle East are persecuted unmercifully. But during World War II the U.S., Canada, and Britain couldn't very well open their borders to all Germans and Japanese who claimed to be refugees. Sometimes we have to use our common sense.

Lud, in ww2 the refugees were fleeing Germany and Japan. They were causing the refugees.

That is the kind of thing that worries me.
