As upset as they are claiming women and gays don't have equal rights, they should realize Muslim customs set women back to the stone age and don't forget that they also feel homosexuals should die. So it seems hypocritical when they call people Islamophobic.

But where do we draw the line, Gonzales? How many is too many? Look what transpired in Europe when too many were admitted in. America is a compassionate nation and we should be, but compassion without vigilance is a recipe for disaster, as displayed in France, Germany, and England. We must remember that there are a lack of data bases in the Middle East which make screening more difficult. Too many people are acting as though this is a permanent ban. It is temporary until screening improves. We must know they are willing to assimilate by adapting to our laws and customs and respecting other religions aside from their own. And we need to set priorities by helping our own homeless, especially the vets, before we deal with more refugees.

No one, left or right (last I checked, Trump is getting 'checked and balanced by both sides of the aisle) is making the argument that America is better or worse with Muslims in it. This isn't a two dimensional morality play where you get to rework fundemental question of "are we a religiously homogenous and compassionate nation" into "is America better off with more or less brown people".

One doesn't get to simply change their values with the circumstance (assuming they have any in the first place), and when we as Americans have, history hasn't been kind to us. Even the golden boy FDR has a perminent black eye for turning away Jewish refugees during their persecution in Europe.

Also, theres the minor fact that no one from any of the countries in this ban attacked us...ever. I get that these countries were on an Obama era list for increased vetting, but that's like the difference between going to the DMV at noon on a Monday, and going to the DMV on Christmas morning. Maybe if we weren't sucking off the real threats in the world to feed our oil fettish, a ban might make a little more sense to a few more people.
