Mac and Cheese! It's wonderful comfort food and my recipe is very simple.
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Block of your favorite cheese
1 package of elbow macaroni
Cook macaroni, drain. Put Cream of Mushroom Soup in a pan with a little milk. Grate your cheese, then add it to the pan. Heat until the cheese is melted, then add the macaroni. Place the mixture in a casserole dish and heat for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

I had some canned chicken, that worked.
My mom used to give me Deviled Chicken sandwiches, but now I eat veggie sandwiches. Lol. Much better!

godsbutterfly1 I cringed when you mentioned the cream of mushroom. But I tried the recipe (with Velveeta  ) and it was amazing. Added some seasoned bread crumbs on top before it went into the oven and ate pure extacy! Didnt even reach for the ketchup

I'm glad you liked it. My mom also made it using Cream of Celery Soup.
Also, she would sometimes switch off the cheese for tuna and the macaroni for noodles.
A simple recipe for dessert with low carbs and calories is this pie recipe that my mom shared with me.
1 Graham Cracker Crust
2 boxes Pudding or Jello mix (Being vegetarian, I use the pudding mix)
2 containers of Cool Whip or similar whipped topping
Empty one container of Whipped Topping in a bowl. Add the pudding/jello mix, and beat.
Poor the mixture into the pie shell and freeze. Then, mix the other whipped topping with the other box of pudding mix for the topping.
Freezing thickens the mixture.. doesn't make it hard.

1 pkg. Taco seasoning
1 lb. Cooked Hamburger
Or some other ground meat
1 Onion Cooked or Raw
1 can Chilli Beans heated
1 can Red Kidney Beans heated
1 can Pitted Olive's Sliced or Whole
Small pkg. Shredded Cheese
Bag of Corn Chips
1/2 head Shredded Lettuce
Mix Well Together
 Enjoy !

Cottage cheese with pineapple
White meat chicken salad sandwiches
Natural peanut butter and applesauce on buttered toast.
Would fix and eat potato salad, deviled eggs and the above.
Ice cream sounds good to me in this hot weather.
