no, they were kept in prison as the scriptures say.
And christ went and preached unto them, as the scriptures say.
They had to come just as we do, through christ, through the door, not by any other way, just as the scriptures say.
It's way to deep for you to understand, but there was some books, that kept record of those who adhered to the law, their righteousness was of the law.
And according to the scriptures, if a righteous man turned from his righteousness, his righteousness would not be remembered.
And just the same with those who turned from their wickedness and began to do righteous, their wickedness would not be remembered.
Moses himself asked God one time when God was angry with israel, blot him out of the book but spare the people.
This book or books, are the same books you see John speak of.
And the books were opened and the dead were judged according to their works, and another book was open which is the book life. And those not found in the book of life were cast into hell.
Those books, where people were judged by their works, those were those of the old covenant and the law.
If they kept the law, they were preserved until the day of christ that they might by the gospel be judged as men in the flesh but live according to God in the spirit.

Souls there waited until Christ died, and when He died, He went to that place, and when He ascended into Heaven, those souls ascended with Him.
Unrepentant sinners before the time of Christ? They went to firey Hell where they will stay for all eternity, just like unrepentant sinners now. When Christ came most probably they didn't even know it.

KB, did you know that if a woman, or man, has sex before marriage he or she commits a mortal sin, and that even one unrepentant mortal sin will cause a soul to go to Hell? Did you know that Jesus said that to even look at a woman in lust is to have comitted adultery with her?
God will forgive the repentant sinner seventy times seven. But it has to be true and sincere repentance, with at least the firm intention to give up sin.

Lud, a while back I asked you if you had ever had sex with a woman (or man) and you said "NO"...but you added the caveat 'that if you did you would go to confession and ask for forgiveness'.... Lud, which would be the better mortal sin in your opinion -- allowing the thought of having sex or actually having sex?

By the way, anyone on Date Hookup or any other dating site who is looking to marry, who has a living ex-spouse, is seeking to commit adultery, and will not enter the Kingdom of God.

Yes, you are depraved and your depravity has nothing to do with whether of not you believe in marriage. I have told you why you are depraved, wicked-minded, blasphemous and spiritually lost. Here let me repeat myself.
You don't know God/Jesus, Ludlow. You are as unrighteous and wicked minded as the Pharisees who thought they knew God and rejected and killed Jesus. I have posted that list of some of the absurd reasons for killing people in the bible many times and none of those reasons have anything to do with any opportunity to repent. They call for the penalty of death for certain acts and if you think it is righteous to kill females if they are not virgins on their wedding day or your son if he curses you or if you disobey the priest or work on the Sabbath, etc., etc., AND then God/Jesus is going to send them to a fiery hell and torment them for all eternity. If that's what you believe about God, Ludlow, YOU are most certainly depraved, blasphemous and spiritually LOST.
