Lots of veggies come in purple
Sposed to be higher in good nutrients than their normal counterparts. ..
Grew purple beans last year.
They were purple till ya cooked em
Then they turned green

What's going on in the garden?
Nothing. On the back burner, again.
Had a couple of glorious days. Great weather.
Got yard cleaned, raked, limbs cleared away -- even did a first mowing.
Cleaned the flower gardens and vegetable garden.
Then winter moved in, again.
The first day of spring is Monday hope it brings back the spring weather.

You're in Missouri and you only just got your strawberries in? We were usually picking by February.
Seriously, the weather had been so unpredictable that it's a little off-setting as to when to plant tenders. The last frost may take out everything if the timing is off.
Yesterday it was in the 80s and today it will barely reach the lowest 60s.
Everything's blooming and greening up but non-hardies would still be in danger of planted while the weather is still fluxing.
And I may not be planting a vegetable garden this year, at any rate -- a major housing move is anticipated.

Actually, Freckles -- they are lower in starches, acids, and mineral content.
They are not heirloom. They are genetically engineered, I believe.
