No, & sure hope I do not come down with the Flu. I haven't had it for a long time & have only had the Flu about 5 times in about the last 25 years.

Nooo... I got lucky the pollen count was very high last weekend and then we had a weather snap to freaky cold temps, and I know of alot of people who did get very sick and alot of people reported off work due to sickness

This year was terrible for me. Not really the flu, but sinus and chest issues. Seems every time the weather changes it kicks in. I would have bought stock in Kleenex if I had known how many boxes I was going to go through this year!
BTW.. hope you feel better.. the flu is way worse.

Yes. I caught it twice, once at the end of December and then again at the start of February.
Both times lasted 5 days.
My gym partner just takes one of those Alka-Seltzer type medications to cover up your symptoms instead of staying home and keeping your germs to yourself. So, I am wary every time he coughs now.
I considered it to be flu because of the achy feeling, but might have been a cold.

OP, yes, I had 2 colds this winter season. Coughing, stuffy nose, & fever. I took cough medicine, the generic brand (care one) from stop & shop. It worked. I am no longer sick.
It's airborne. When people cough, you are breathing in what they are coughing out, if you are stuck in the same room with them. Try to leave the room when you can. I couldn't leave the room because I am stuck with them for 8 hours everyday. They are my coworkers the people I have to work with.
Clean out, rinse out the inside of your nose with water, at the end of the day, everyday, to get all the dirt out of your nose. You will feel better, & get less colds. Hope you feel better soon, OP.

I didn't get the flu but working with people's disgusting kids have left my immune system suffering.
I'm currently sick due to hay fever. Had an early appointment, got no sleep at all due to the hay fever, sick people refusing to stay at home got my immune system.
Now I've completely lost my voice and I'm stuck taking cold and allergy medicine.

I have a very good immune system so when other people get a coughy sneezy cold that lasts more than a week or 2 I just get a sore throat that lasts a few days.

I have a history of an unwavering immune system myself but being constantly surrounded by unhygienic/ sick people and children proves difficult.
You literally have a large number of people working actively and passive to attack your body. And this is excluding your daily environmental factors like garbage in the air and unknowingly walking through a randomly dispersed sneeze/cough and touching every day things that those lepers touch with no attempts to prevent the spread of what they're carrying.

i havent been chasing after it to catch it,but i get aches etc from sleep loss,and/ or head colds that come an go..flu is usually around 10 days when it gets on you.......

Nope, I never get sick. I get the flu shot and take emergen-C twice a week along with regular hand washing. I'm exposed so much but have made my immune system like iron.

I never get shot and I never get the flu. My mother made me get one in 1976 and that was the last one I ever got. We were all supposed to die from some horrible pandemic. Really, we're not supposed to be here, but they said the same thing about bird flu and swine flu and Asian flu. I never get shot and I never get the flu. Isn't it a little late now? It's darn near spring.

I never get the flu. (lol knock on wood) and I've never taken a flu shot.
but there was a nasty virus going around last summer that lasted 3 weeks. it sucked.
try some warm tea. put a shot of whiskey in it. it'll help you rest. hope you get well soon.

I get the flu shot every year because I have a low immune system with the added being around lot's of people everyday at work. I still caught the flu, it moved in and out rather quickly for me this time. I know for many it was hard to get over this year.
