No one was arrested any of the other times they handed out joints. It almost seems like this administration will make the mistake of pushing back against legal marijuana.

Republicans are always against pot. They view it as evil. They must fight evil as it goes against God. Can't have anyone thinking freely. Must be protected against all they view as evil.
Democrats are pro pot. It dumbs the masses.
We will go back to the stone age for the next 8 years till the tide turns to Democrats again.
Or until people vote in people that actually represent their will!

No. I have seen the damage done by this gateway drug, whether you accept the fact that it is gateway or not, as it has led to Heroin, Opioids, etc etc...
Alcohol and cigarettes are bad. Legalizing another harmful substance makes no sense.
Sorry, I'll never support legalization or Decriminalization.

Except it's not a gateway, because the overwhelming majority of pot smokers don't move to other drugs.
And of course you won't support legalizing things that were already legal for thousands of years. How else could you achieve such a fantastic level of hypocrisy?

CDC: Prescription Drugs Kill More Than Illegal Drugs; Teens at High Risk
Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that more people die from legally prescribed drugs than from heroin and cocaine combined. The CDC has classified the situation as an “epidemic.”

I was reading an article recently about the legal status
of pot that was interesting.
It basically described how there was a "task force" set
up to deal with bootlegging during the prohibition
era.
Before the end of that era, the person in charge didn't
think pot was a big deal and caused no harm.
But the end of prohibition also meant the end of his
job, so all of a sudden, pot became the most dangerous
thing ever. (so he got to keep his job).
Then of course all the anti-pot propaganda started up.
(Remember refer madness?)
Wish I would have kept the link to the article.
Good reading.

Yeah, his name was Anslinger, Antslinger, some stupid shit like that. I could look it up, but I'm about to be busy.
After prohibition ended he needed something to demonize. Jazz was starting in the south and he learned that the "wetbacks" were supplying the "n**gers" with marijuana. "Demonize wetbacks and n**gers at the same time?! OH BOY!! Sign me up!!", said the powers that be. After Nixon was elected, they looked for a way to keep the dirty f**kin hippies in line...and that, boys and girls, is how an absolutely harmless INTOXICANT, yes it is an intoxicant, was made as dangerous as heroin, and for no other reason.

Some Harry J. Anslinger quotes:
"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana usage. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others."
"Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing."
"Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."
"Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind."
"...the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races."
"Most marijuana smokers are Negroes, Hispanics, jazz musicians, and entertainers. Their satanic music is driven by marijuana, and marijuana smoking by white women makes them want to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and others. It is a drug that causes insanity, criminality, and death -- the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind."
"Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death."
"You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother."

Just remember that when THC is processed by the liver, the resulting chemical compounds is about 5 times more psychoactive than when you smoke pot. It's handy information to have, especially if you buy a cookie and the dose is 1/8th of a cookie.

I'm well aware of that. I've watched TONS of videos on making butter and oils and milk and...My thought is, why?! Once it's decarbed, just a pinch should be more then plenty. Pinch it off and eat it, that way there's not question about getting all of the THC separated from the plant matter.

Dude STFU you ignorant punk a** b*tch, you're a f**kin' idiot. "Gateway drug" is what someone who doesn't know shit about marijuana says.
I know about pot Trackker... I also know a whole lot about other drugs too.. Normally your opinions align quite well with my own, but not this time. Allow me to explain.
Pot is a gateway drug, if only because the people who will take the risks to distribute it are often times doing or selling much harder drugs such as cocaine, crack, heroin, LSD, Acid, Beaners, Mescaline, gel-tabs, mushroom, or any other kind of drug. Yes there are some people who deal exclusively in pot, but often times they know people or their suppliers have it.
If you think about it, someone who is a "dealer" isn't your nickel bag kid who buys up an OZ for $100, breaks it down into 28 dime bags and makes $180 profit. That guy is what you call a "pusher" and his sole mission in life, like anyone else is to make money. The "dealer" is the guy who buys several pounds and sells only to the "pushers"... You don't see a dealer slinging nickel or dime bags on the corners.
The risk involved in handling pounds and selling quantity is such that many "dealers" will also dabble in other drugs as it's always about the money. Eventually this "pusher" will be fed some of the other drug to sell off and that is where the term "gateway" comes in.
Now I will agree that making pot legal would greatly diminish this "gateway", because the risk is no longer there. But it will still be there until such time as pot is available at every corner store much like tobacco and alcohol are. People use pot to come down from many of these harder drugs, or it's used to supplement their high, much like how tobacco and alcohol are also, so there is that element. The difference is, no one goes to a tobacco or alcohol pusher or dealer for their supplies. Back in the alcohol prohibition they did, but not anymore.
On one hand I agree with you that people are going to do what they are going to do, but on the other hand I know that obtaining an illegal drug such as pot creates this "gateway". Just because someone chooses to smoke pot doesn't mean they are going to move up to harder drugs, but in the quest to obtain said "pot" they are likely to come across the harder stuff.
And here is a little secret that not many know... When a "dealer" gets a good deal on harder drugs, they will create a drought knowing people who have developed a dependence on the "pot" may try whatever drug they happen to have a quantity of that needs pushing. To a kid looking for a buzz and faced with the prospects of going sober, or giving something else a try, it's the very definition of "gateway drug".

Phelps was/is a good swimmer... With or without pot...
But if Phelps took his habit to an unhealthy level, he would become an unproductive zombie.
It happens Trackker... And it's not exclusive to pot... It happens with ALL drugs.

WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!!
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Wrooooooong!
The idea behind a gateway drug is a drug that leads one to take the next drug. Using that bullshit, alcohol would be more of a gateway drug. In fact I would suggest that alcohol is a gateway drug to marijuana.

Alcohol was my gateway... Why? Because you had to be 21 to obtain it.
What was my gateway to alcohol? Tobacco.

It is a deal breaker for many moderate independents.
It is my only problem with Rex Tillerson.
I find it surprising that most think all conservatives are against legalization.
When it has already brought in so much money for schools and other programs.
As long as medical marijuana keeps passing in each state.
There is not much to worry about.
I live in a common wealth and still smoke a few times a week.

I remember the first time I ever smoked pot... I was working at a meat market at the time (butcher shop)...
Someone made me a steam roller out of tin foil and a toilet paper roll because it was my very first time ever buying pot... Sure, we had a case of beer but the girls wanted pot... P*ssy is probably the first gateway now that I think about it, but that's not what this story is about.
Anyway, I had no idea how to roll a joint... So I put this green odd smelling stuff in the steam roller, lit it and proceeded to inhale... Much to my surprise the pot never effected me, but all the girls were coughing and giggling smoking the h3ll out of my sac...
A week later a friend of mine was kind enough to let me know that you have to place your hand over the other side of the steam roller, otherwise you were just sucking in air...
LOL
And that is why we need friends folks! LOL

Marijuana as a "gateway" drug is as f**king stupid as claiming that trump is doing a good job.
President Trump IS doing a good job! And I tip my hat to him and Sessions telling it to people straight that pot isn't any good for you! Tobacco and Alcohol isn't any good for you!
These people aren't like Obama, who is an empty shell of a man who was and still is a con artist out for himself. But I can guarantee you the very definition of hypocrisy was in play when he confronted his daughter about the time she was caught on camera smoking pot.
President Trump and Sessions don't want the crown for making pot legal... They feel as I do, that it's bad for you and habit forming. If left unchecked and abused it WILL sap you of motivation and drive. Sure, you could live your whole life smoking pot, and some people do! But that is not what they represent and if you don't respect them for that, then you are part of the problem and not part of the solution.
I don't smoke pot anymore... I don't drink anymore (unless someone has a bottle of Blue Label), and I don't do any other hard drugs anymore...
But I do still have a serious problem with tobacco, p*ssy, money and fast cars... I imagine this problem will never go away until I am 6 foot under... But such is the way of life. I embrace it and move forward.
Good luck to you all! We Trump Republicans love you all!

I've gone through hundreds of dealers and pushers, and they are never pushing hard drugs. From my experience hard drug pushers stick to hard drugs, and pot dealers stick to marijuana. That's why when you want crack you need a crack dealer, heroin a heroin dealer, meth a meth dealer. So your argument in my POV is null.

President Trump has ALWAYS had an addiction to money and p*ssy... Cars too!
It wasn't the Presidency that introduced this to him... But it was the Presidency that introduced him to his new addiction, which is POWER... I pray for Trump, as often times your drug of choice can lead you to fall off the wagon.
For me, as I have learned from this thread, it's p*ssy. I think the same is true for Trump... We had all better hope that his wife doesn't pull the rug from under him or I can guarantee you we will all see a monster to which none of us could have ever imagined as he tries to regain his footing.
I think about it, and about the only thing I know of that could cause me to slip is a woman. Such a pathetic existence I know... I suppose this is why many people turn to homosexuality.. You probably know a lot about homosexuality, don't ya Scar?

I can tell you haven't smoked in a long time because what tracker says is the truth. Now that marijuana is legal in a lot of places and decriminalized in others, pot dealers stick to pot. Why risk selling harder drugs when they can just sell pot which is losing its illegal status. Not to mention, there are a lot more growers than when you were smoking. Most of the dealers get their shit right from a grower, and marijuana growers don't grow opium. It's just the way it is now. You've been out of the loop for a while, it's ok, it happens.

What you say is what I have been saying in my post above... And it's true, that once you develop a habit for something other than pot you will be turned over to a new dealer..
But it's still the same game rookie... Heed my words... Or don't... I could care less...
I got my own demons..

It's people like you who make people with real actual pain suffer because people like you want a quick high & have zero self control.
Go out tonight & get a boat load of heroin. See how high your tolerance level is.
There are many people in serious pain who are now suffering because of punks like you.
Were you on heroin when you were convinced trump was the best choice or was that your meth night?
You junkies should be the ones in prison. You & Rush Limbaugh & O'Reily & the rest of you lying drug wh*res.
Pot isn't a gateway to jack.
Now go sharpen your used needle & make sure to fill it to the top. One less meth addict on welfare is what your righties fight for. Go make your party proud!!!

Look how much working welfare, is provided by keeping it illegal. Law enforcement, corrections, judical and an ongoing list. Until their isn't enough money to support working welfare, in the public sector it will stay illegal.

A feller has to smoke it out of something. Yeah, ice cubes, that's an attachment that I haven't assembled yet.
Now, b*tch, slink off and make me some new pictures.

Very easy problem to solve -
Pay people a livable wage.
I remember when I graduated how excited people were to go out & get a job & live on their own.
Now you've got college grads moving into their parents basements & playing Gameboy with zero motivation to take a job that isn't enough to make their student loan payment.
Yet we continue to support these adults under the parents insurance until the age of 26!!! (Far too old.)
You gotta pick one - a livable wage or welfare. Donnie is only going to increase the welfare population. That's what tax breaks for the rich gets you. So you voted to keep getting trickled on, & that you will.

I completely agree on livable wages. Until Americans stop buying unregulated, no labor law goods, they'll continue to receive scraps. If people don't make the change, the government and corporations aren't going too. The day I see Americans at every port of entry, not letting one truck leave those gates, of slave labor good's, I'll be right there with them. Or they can continue to waste there time, with the protesting Corporations and Government, have wanted them too do.
As for the College grads going back home etc, there's a lot of factor's. Number one look at their degrees. Many of them have a degree, there was never a job for and with working welfare continuing to shrink, because the last 30 years, took 120 years worth of funds. So there's no hiding in the public sector anymore with a degree not worth toilet paper.

Taxes are theft because it lacks consent, not because it's asymmetric.
