my story is this ,,those ive dated or married have made good bucks
i used to make 48k a year invested well
ive dated men that were far superior in making bucks
ive never asked or sued an ex for alimony,savings,whatever
i just walked away
so big question is this
why would anyone expect anything ...

Try not having expectations or standards and see who you end up with....I don't expect a damn thing from people anymore...but at the same time...you treat me like shit and your outta my life....I guess that's the expectation for myself...im not putting up with other people's shit.....so I still have an expectation...only it comes from me....

Not many guys out there care to meet the simple demands/requirements of the ladies!
The ones I've dated have only asked for is respect, honesty and monogamy! How hard is that? Of course respect is earned not given!
We just have some guys here that just cannot meet the simple standards that women ask for so they sit n moan about it

I've never known 1 person to get alimony. Making good money doesn't mean that person has a savings account. I think those situations are for young beautiful women who marry older rich guys. Its a business transaction from the begining.
When one party in the marriage makes significantly more than the other and the marriage lasted for more than a couple years alimony or spousal support will come into play. And trust me very plain middle-aged women get alimony too, not just trophy wives digging for gold.

Good morning. My thoughts are if children aren't involved usually the woman is working. I only know 1 person without kids that asked for alimony. She didn't recieve it. The one making all the money can afford the better attorney.
I know a lot of people who raised kids without child support or very little.

I've known some little gold digging bishes that will take the money and never spend a dime on the kids and they are always dumpin the kids at granny n grandpas while they still go out n party! They won't give up the partying n running around for anyone!

Alimony and child support are two different things...so even without kids if there is a big disparity in income...the woman can still get alimony whether she is working or not....for example..one makes 30,000 and the other makes 100,000....there will likely be alimony in that case.....

Scoobs alot of men don't know the difference between child support and alimony. Your comment that the kids don't get any of the money, the kids ate, wore clothes, had water for showers, electricity for heat and lights, Men think all the necessities are free. Did the man stop going out? My ex thought I would be sitting home while he was going out. Lol

A month after my divorce was final I had plans to go with a guy to a consent. Its was my ex weekend to have our daughter. He refused to come get her because he didnt want me to go. I told him I could easily pay my sons gf $20 to watch her. Then he treatened to take me to court for not letting him have visitation. He got her When he realized he couldn't keep me from going. In his mind he was going to be free again like a 20 year old and I would be a single mom always home.

I for one am not spoiled, or entitled, and my expectations could not get any lower. I know what to expect from any woman that would date me, NOTHING.
Now some of you have mentioned ALIMONY, that is what I hate paying. Child support that is what I owed my children and did not mind paying. In fact I paid more than the court ordered.

If she had a man paying all her bills for decades maybe. But 48K is peanuts not much more than minimum wage. Supporting yourself and a family would be almost impossible on that kind of coin.

Scoobs does your ex have visitation? My ex gets our daughter every other weekend. His friends wife usually takes care of her. She is happy because she gets to be with the lady's grandaughter. This past weekend she took them shopping for girly things like face mask and make-up. My ex spent his time on the lake then drinking and talking with his friends. 4 days a month visitation isn't much and over time it creates a distance between the child and parent. This is a better situation than her staying home alone with him and sitting in front of the tv while he is on Facebook.

She didn't I did just like I do now! I take them to their school things put money on their School accounts to pay for lunches and etc! I don't deprive her or the kids of seeing her my oldest doesn't like her husband #2 he's kind of a d*ck to him and he doesn't like them smoking so now he only goes to see her when there's presents thank god I never married her!
