On 28 April, Jacobs reported on Gianforte’s financial ties to Russian companies that have been sanctioned by the US. Gianforte’s wealth is estimated at between $65m and $315m.
Last month, the Missoulian newspaper took Gianforte to task for his attitude toward the press. At an event hosted by the Advancing Conservatism Society, an audience member reportedly said: “Our biggest enemy is the news media. How can we rein in the news media?”
Gianforte responded by pointing at a reporter and saying, “We have someone right here. It seems like there is more of us than there is of him.” The Republican later told the Billings Gazette that his comments were a joke.

Three of the state's largest newspapers, the Billings Gazette, the Helena Independent Record, and the Missoulian, withdrew their endorsements of Mr Gianforte.
"We are also sick and tired - of Gianforte's incessant attacks on the free press," said the Independent Record, while the Missoulian noted that as the eyewitness report came from right-wing Fox News, the incident could not be construed as liberal "fake news".

While the media provides wall-to-wall coverage of Montana Congressional candidate Greg Gianforte’s alleged assault on a reporter from the Guardian – while Republicans across Congress are being asked to condemn Gianforte – it’s worthwhile to remember that the media never hold Democrats to the same standard.
Way back in June 2010, North Carolina Congressman Bob Etheridge, a seven-term elected Democrat, was asked by a student reporter if he supported the “Obama agenda.” Etheridge promptly attempted to grab the reporter’s cell phone camera, then grab the reporter’s wrist, demanding, “Who are you! Tell me who you are…I have a right to know who you are!” One of the student’s friends, who caught the incident on camera, said, “We’re just here for a project.” When the student in Etheridge’s grip asked to be released, Etheridge instead grabbed him by the neck.

Etheridge would go on to be defeated by Congresswoman Renee Ellmers in a very tight election. But the media never bothered to ask every Democrat in power about Etheridge’s behavior, or whether it ought to be condemned. The assumption was that Etheridge was acting on his own, that he had behaved badly, and that was that. In fact, Democrats rallied to Etheridge’s defense. Here’s Politico reporting at the time:
"Motives matter, and I think you can see who was behind this," said DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse just now. "This was a Republican party tracking operation. If it wasn't a party tracker or intern, why is the face blurred and why is the source hidden? You know if it had been a right wing blog, they'd identify themselves and they'd be booking this person on TV all day. Republicans know if they admit their involvement in this game of gotcha it will undermine their credibility. One minute this guy is interviewing a member of Congress on camera and the next a video is released with his face blurred out? If that doesn’t tell you this is a Republican Party hatchet job nothing will." A national Democratic Party official e-mailed around a set of talking points about an hour ago, under the subject heading, "Etheridge Gotcha Video Background."
Etheridge apologized, and the media let it go.
The assumption by the left, however, is that Gianforte must be abandoned by the Republicans forthwith.
Now, I think there’s a good argument that voters ought to avoid pulling the lever for Gianforte. But they also should have been encouraged to do so with Etheridge by the same media drooling over Gianforte; Democrats should have been forced to answer questions about the incident. They weren’t. Which is one reason that so many Republicans think the media is unfair.

The initial report that went viral about a Montana Republican candidate Greg Gianforte grabbing a reporter by the neck with both hands – is not true as the witness who reported it admits it never happened.
Lifezette reported:
A reporter who was a firsthand witness to an incident late Wednesday involving Montana GOP candidate Greg Gianforte and a reporter for the Guardian now admits she may have misstated some details of her initial story.
There is, so far, no direct video of the incident; only audio has been produced publicly. Among the small handful of eyewitnesses was Fox News reporter Alicia Acuna.
Acuna wrote a report published on Fox News that detailed what happened as Jacobs aggressively questioned Gianforte.
Details from Acuna’s report quickly went viral online, but she said Thursday during an interview on “The Laura Ingraham Show” that she misstated the neck grab.
“One of you guys said last night that he put his hands around his neck,” Ingraham said. “Which, as somebody who’s done a lot of taekwondo and self-defense, to me that seemed, that might not be exactly right.”
“You know, and I’m the one who said that,” Acuna replied, “I saw both his hands go up, not around his neck in a strangling type of way, but more just on each side of his neck, just grabbed him and I guess it could’ve been on his clothes, I don’t know.”
Talk about interfering with an election, publishing an inaccurate report that severely damages a candidate with only hours left before voting closes and then changing your story, awful!

n Friday, as many as 10 gunman opened fire on a bus filled with Coptic Christians in Cairo, Egypt, traveling to a monastery. According to Egyptian officials, at least 26 of the Christians have been confirmed dead, children among them, and at least 25 others have been injured.
One witness said there were up to 10 masked, armed, military-dressed men carrying out the attack, charging onto the bus and firing indiscriminately.
It is suspected that the murderers were radical Islamists targeting the Christians for their faith, a common occurrence in Egypt. Plus, the attack comes just hours before the Islamic holiday of Ramadan officially kicks off.
"No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but Egypt’s Coptic Christians have become the preferred target of the Islamic State in the region. Egypt's Copts, the Middle East's largest Christian community, have repeatedly cried out for help from discrimination, as well as outright attacks, at the hands of the country's majority Muslim population," notes the Associated Press.
In April, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for a barbaric attack on Christians practicing their faith on Palm Sunday. Setting off two explosive devices via suicide bombers, at least 44 Copts were murdered and over 100 more were injured in the blasts.
Anther recent attack on the Coptic Christian community claimed by ISIS took place in December, where "a 26-pound bomb exploded in Cairo’s main Coptic Christian Cathedral, killing 25 people and injuring 49 others. The cathedral was packed with parishioners at the time of the blast. Most of the victims were women and children," reported Daily Wire's Joshua Yasmeh.
In February, Islamic militants released a propaganda video in which they describe Christians in Egypt as their "favorite prey," notes the AP. The footage featured shots of one of the suicide bombers from the ISIS attack on Copts in December.
"God gave orders to kill every infidel," says one AK-47-carrying militant in the video.
The U.S. Embassy in Cairo issued a security warning on Wednesday, notes AP, "stating that it was aware of a potential threat posted on a website by the Hassm Group, a known terrorist organization, suggesting some kind of unspecified action that evening."
A recent study from The Center for Studies on New Religions found Christians to be the most persecuted worldwide. "The study found that over 90,000 Christians were murdered in 2016, 30 percent of whom at the hands of Islamic terrorists."

Then we have India. The official estimate number of Muslim slaughters of Hindus is 80 million. However, Muslim historian Firistha (b. 1570) wrote (in either Tarikh-i Firishta or the Gulshan-i Ibrahim) that Muslims slaughtered over 400 million Hindus up to the peak of Islamic rule of India, bringing the Hindu population down from 600 mil to 200 million at the time.
With these new additions the Muslim genocide of non-Muslims since the birth of Mohammed would be over 669 million murders.

More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition* combined.
The Spanish inquisition (Tribunal del Santo Oficio de la Inquisición) from 1478 to 1834 was established due to muslim invasions. It was the war and battle to try and end Islamic infiltration, Arab fascism and conquest. It’s quite interesting how similar to muslims their methodology was. Was it habit by long association under muslim rule or a strategy?
Note: The Spanish Inquisition was an answer to the multi-religious nature of Spanish society following the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula from the Muslim Moors.
After invading in 711, large areas of the Iberian Peninsula were ruled by Muslims until 1250, when they were restricted to Granada, which fell in 1492. However, the Reconquista did not result in the total expulsion of Muslims from Spain, since they, along with the enslaved Jews, were tolerated by the ruling Christian elite. Large cities, especially Seville, Valladolid and Barcelona, had significant Jewish populations centered in Juderia. Muslims tried to take control throughout the entire country and expand into France to install an islamic state wherever they went.
To expel the vicious Islamic parasite from the nation the Tribunal killed anyone and everyone who were suspected of being contaminated by Islam, even those enslaved by the muslims.
The Inquisition not only hunted for Protestants and for false converts from Judaism among the conversos, but also searched for false or relapsed converts among the Moriscos [moors], forced converts from Islam. Many Moriscos were suspected of practising Islam in secret. They killed anyone suspected of being traitors or disguised moles. No one was spared.
So successful was the enterprise in 1609, in the space of months, Spain was emptied of its Moriscos. Expelled were the Moriscos of Aragon, Murcia, Catalonia, Castile, Mancha and Extremadura.
In other words, the Spanish inquisition saved the entire region from being taken over by Islamic rule. It was a brutal but quintessentially heroic act in history that saw the sacrifice of millions of people to exterminate Islam fully and completely from the land. It took them nearly 400 years. Imagine the sheer volume of muslims in the country for it to take almost four centuries to get rid of them.
