I don't know their party affiliation, it just seems those gals should have fought it to the supreme court. Years ago there was a case of reverse discrimination when a school took a minority over a white with better grades from the "affirmative action program" to meet their quotas required. It was for law school no less. HA

In Texas, we learned, when you want to eat good Mexican Food, you go where the Mexicans go.
It has nothing to do with the nationality of the chefs!
And from what I've seen, Mexican people like Tex-Mex as well as Mex-Mex!
I'm not sure why the Portland food critics made such a case out of Kook Burritos!
If the food was good, people liked it, that's all that is important.
I also think the story needs to be fact checked.
I keep hearing that they were forced to close, but nobody said by who!

Fish, I listened to Dennis Prager for an hour on this and could not ascertain any misappropriation on the gals part. It keeps saying "cultural appropriation". They don't give another reason.

I believe it now Herc. I am seeing too much discrimination and the last straw was the hiding of history by the movement of the statues all over the US. Orlando put there statute that sat at Lake Eola in a confederate cemetery. I don't know where the ones in Louisiana went, they were so sneaky as to do it in the early dark of morning and with trucks that hid the name of the company.

This just seems so strange of a story coming out of Portland.
And I can guarantee you the concern for the nationality of the cook not matching the food could only come from the snotty food critics of the underground entertainment newspapers and their so called journalists who are desperate for stories that drive political controversy.
It certainly is not coming from the public or the Patrons of such establishments.
Every eclectic city has one or more of these underground entertainment gimmes on a stand at every restaurant in town!
I read about where certain bands are playing, and the start times and locations of Movies, but skip their total failures in trying to play politics within their editorial content.
Basically they are rubbish!

You'd be surprised if you knew what a cutthroat business the restaurant business really is.
A few years ago, since there is a huge park adjacent to our Arts district surrounding our Music Halls and Art Museums here in Dallas, the City Council decided to allow a few catering trucks that are basically a restaurant on wheels, to set up along the streets between the park and the Music and Symphony Halls on days of certain events.
They only allowed 6 permits. But you should have seen the bloodbath, and the Dog Eat Dog, during the Competition to see which restaurants got to be the ones to get the permits.
It turned into a racial nightmare because of all the different ethnic food restaurants that were applying for the permits.
They did the same thing over in Fort Worth, when that City Council decided to allow these catering trucks to be a part of the Old Stockyards! Same racial mess over there!
It could be the same thing going on in Portland!

sorry folks but here fish don't fly.
I only eat fish from the Atlantic of Pacific. This here in the gulf still tastes like BP oil. Especially the bottom feeders like shrimp.
