During their lives John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Andrew Mellon, and J. P. Morgan amassed huge fortunes. Their bodies are now dead but their souls live on, either in Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. But how much money do they now have? None.

You're a very sick Catholic man, Lud. There is no such place as Purgatory and "Hell" is not even in most modern, correctly translated bibles including the Catholic New American Bible. Nor are the terms "mortal sin" or "venial sin" in the bible.

Provided that one is paying one's bills on time, taking care of family obligations, and giving at least some money to charity, you are quite right, Rey. The money the Good Lord gave you is indeed youts to spend as you please. But neither you nor I nor anybody else can take worldly riches into the next world.

If it is your money and you Love God, then you shall hold in your heart that such is God's, just as a loving husband believes that his income belongs to the household (husband, wife, children, etc.)
If it is God's money, then God shall hold in his heart that such is for his good; such as a loving father believes that his income belongs to his family (including his children....you.)
Win win really.
I guess the same could be asked: is it your money or Satan's money??? It's where your heart is at that makes the difference.
