the lottery is basically a tax on stupid people who don't understand the meaning of the word 'odds'!!!
to put it in a nutshell, you have almost the same exact odds of winning the lottery, whether you actually buy a ticket,or not!!!
so,you might as well just flush your money down the toilet,or give it to some person standing on the off ramp of the interstate to buy drugs with, cuz you will get the exact same amount of benefit from doing that as you will buying a lottery ticket!

So what's our strategy? I don't own a van with tinted windows, nor can I afford one...I would need you to get me the winning lotto ticket, so we can begin.

That's foolish, silly! My father is convinced that he will win the lottery and powerball! If the Cubs can win the World Series, then why not?
What do they even use the Powerball and lottery money for anyhow?

That's what I keep telling my father, kraven!!!!! He says he doesn't care! Somebody has to win!
Surely my odds of winning the powerball aren't even as good as the odds that I'll get spontaneously pregnant and give birth. Of course the odds of either one are still better than the odds that I'll have a date this weekend.

Did any of you see in the news some guy is doing a plea deal for having fixed the lottery in several states where he and his family would know the winner numbers several days each year? lol. He was a computer programmer, so I am guessing he set up some program related to picking the numbers. In my opinion, those states should have to give people back all money they spent on those days over the years, but nobody would still even have anything to prove they bought one, I guess.

It is known that some numbers come into play more often than others.
I see nothing wrong with using a formula to inhance your chances.
Inever win at these drawings, I did win a nice wine basket early last month.

That's not what happened. What I meant is he "worked" for the lottery. He was their programmer and is plea bargaining for intentionally forcing certain numbers to come up several days per year, where he and his family or friends would know for a fact ahead of time which numbers would come up on those days.
One state got suspicious and wouldn't pay out because the buyer didn't want to reveal his name to them or something similar to that.... So now they figured out it was him and he is agreeing to tell them exactly how he rigged the system.
