More walmarts = less local businesses...a greater reliance on the megastores for all you food/needs. It also employs a shit load of the population, the more you open the more reliant the population is on them...and as such "enslaved". Once you have everyone shopping and/or working at walmart you have control of the population. Close them and you encourage diversification which would not be conducive to controlling them. I know someone who applied to work there, it was like $7.49 hr or something like that and the hours could be anything from day to day...basically they couldn't make ANY plans as one day they might be working 6am to 4pm and the next day 4pm 2am etc... ..enslaved to the schedule for a pittance of pay. Still as long as stupid people exist Wallyworld wont have a shortage of people wanting to work there.

They used to have (may still have) a lifetime warranty where they would replace or give you the full price back. I know someone who bought a 10k Plasma TV when they were a newish thing and cost that much...then returned it 10yrs later and got his 10k back...the store manager obviously didn't want to give him his money back but the TV was obviously long obsolete...so he had to. I'm guessing they've changed that return policy now.
