Isn't the only ones that have their own planes and helicopter use the president and vice president??The others like congress and senate get a travel allowance or if they are going overseas fly MATS(Military air transport).

I don't know how it is today but when I was in the army in the 1960's the government used to have thousands of cars some of them seldom if ever used.At the Boston army base some cars would sit in one spot for years to the point they would be covered with a quarter inch or more of dust and dirt.They were inside in base warehouse parking space.

Not all Clarity. I would keep the local bus systems out of the private sector. That said, however, I am more than open to looking at the so called 'public servants' pulling down $150K+ per year, or fat pensions of those involved, and cleaning that shit up.
Public service in this country was never intended to be a gravy train, it's was meant to give back to your country. My stats might be a bit dated but last I remember the US Federal Gov't is the 3rd largest economy in the world. But even if it's the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world, the point is still the same.

San Fran Gran Nan had to have the government version of a Boeing 737 because she "needed the range." She could fly from DC to San Fran without refueling.
There was also a government owned Gulf executive jet that would do the same, but she "appreciated the extra room."
The grandkids, various other staff, and miscellaneous hanger-ons could play hop-scotch and badminton it the 737.
It could also be supplied with more eats & booze with those nice air force people to serve it and wipe their butts and generally clean up the mess.
