It can be argued that the biggest blemish on President Trump’s record so far has been his inability to pass any kind of legislation on health care. Vice President Mike Pence recently weighed into the fray with one shocking suggestion.
While talking to Tucker Carlson, Vice President Pence mused the idea of taking away Congress’ exemption from Obamacare. Vice President Pence claimed that President Trump has the right to “rescind” Congress’ special privileges when it comes to health care, via YouTube.

Great news, congress can challenge anything and everything Trump does. We learned that when Obama was in office, even if it was all talk from Republicans at the time. And considering how tired even Republicans are of Trump's shit I see it happening.
It will be one thing Repub's and Dem's will agree with on the topic of healthcare.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson of Fox News that was aired on Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence was asked to reflect on President Trump perspective on the so-far failed efforts on the part of the Senate to produce a suitable health care reform bill. When Carlson asked Pence, “Why should Members of Congress and their staffs have a better deal, not subject to the same rules as everybody else is?," the Vice President answered:
“That's pretty typical of Washington, isn't it? You, more often than not, see one set of rules for the American people and another set of rules for the political class here in our nation's capital. but as we move forward, the point is that whether the president makes a decision, it would be his decision whether to rescind that special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs.”
He went on to say, "What we want is a health care system that works for all of the American people." Pence explained that one element of health care reform should be cheaper coverage. "I think the primary goal first is to give people freedom over their own health care choices again," said Pence.
Pence said that the Trump administration intends to keep its promise to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
Partial transcript follows:
CARLSON: But if after a year or two of giving people more choices, millions fewer Americans had health insurance, would that be worth it?
PENCE: Well, it’s — it’s — the very essence of living in a free society is people get to make their own decisions. But the president and I truly believe that if you lower the cost of health insurance, if you give Americans more choices in health insurance, that more Americans will choose, more employers will choose, to have and offer health insurance to their employees and have health insurance for their families.

Some people have to get their own lights cut off to know how important that really is sometimes! [fishnthec]
And that can be said from two different perspectives.
Healthcare Insurance used to be affordable to almost anyone who wanted it back in the 70's.
Most every family that wanted it back then- could afford it.
But, since the 70's Medical costs and Insurance costs have risen as much as 1000% since then.
The only problem is, Wages have not kept up with the inflation.
So, now we have a situation where most average American families struggle to even be able to afford Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance because the industries themselves have out priced their goods and services to the majority of the public.
That is why Obama and the Democrats tried to do something about it.
Now, have your tiny-fisted tantrums about the ACA or Obama all you want!
But, we are still at a moment of truth here! And tantrums are not going to resolve the problems our nation faces resolving this healthcare crisis.

I can guarantee you one thing- if the price of Gasoline suddenly went up to $20 a gallon, the government would step in and ration, price control, and subsidize it to the ones hurt the most by it and make it affordable to the public to get back and forth to work and be able to survive.
Healthcare is no different- in fact it is actually more important than gasoline!

People show up to hospitals around here for help all the time, and they are told either cash, proper insurance, or GTFO! And you know it!
Now, I will agree that most counties- not all, but especially in large metro areas that have County Hospitals that will accept patients that can endure the wait.

No, sir, the Constitution does not allow us to have anything we want by majority vote. In fact the Constitution restricts Congress from making certain laws, even if there is a majority in favor. The Constitution prevents Congress from passing ex post facto laws, even if a majority of the population supported one. The Constitution prevents Congress from levying tariffs on exports, even if a majority, even if 99.9% of tge population clamored for one. And the tenth amendment to the Constitution prevents Congress from doing anything not specifically authorized by the Constitution, including setting up health services or setting up an old age pension fund.
Majority rule? Nowhere in the Constitution does the phrase "majority rule" appear. America is a republic, not a democracy (democracy=mob rule).

Fish, you say: “It [what Congress does] is determined by a majority vote!” “Dude, the Constitution allows the "people" to have whatever they want in this country. It is determined by a majority vote!”
No Fish, the Constitution limits the Congress from doing just anything it wants to do. And, no, the Constitution is not “stupid and ignorant”, as you would have us all believe, it is the fundamental law of the land. It does seems to be the opinion of ‘stupid and ignorant” Liberals such as yourself Fish, that the Constitution means nothing, but that does not make it so. What it does is make Liberals lawless. Liberals, such as yourself Fish, cannot just annul the Constitution by ignoring it; if you want to change it, you have to go through the procedure laid out in the Constitution itself for amending it. I think this “Constitution is nothing to pay attention to” attitude is one of the things that distinguishes a Liberal from a Conservative.
Texas, the President can take away Congresses exemption from ObamaCare, that is one option, and that would probably be all it takes to repeal it. In fact, had Congress not been exempt, it probably would never have passed to start with. After all, Obama did have to threaten and bribe Democrats to get it passed to begin with. A lot of arm twisting went on.
And that’s one option, but there are other options that will work just as well. For example--and many people do not know this--but Congress never fully funded ObamaCare, it never funded the subsidies for example (and Obama wanted the subsidies to fund young Blacks hoodlums and Muslims—-Muslims, you know, pay nothing). So Obama illegally funded it himself with a slush fund funded by robbing private Freddie and Fanny stock holders of their dividends, and the dividends were quite large (which is why Obama and the Treasury Department targeted them). This was highly illegal of course, it was a felony, and there are lawsuits over it. In fact, Obama should be in jail over this. All President Trump has to do is return the dividends and stop robbing them. That would kill two birds with one stone, and it would be a win, win for everyone involved.

I agree Herc, but you know, no amount of FDA approved treatments in conventional healthcare is going to save McCain from his aggressive brain cancer now. His prognostics are not good. Satan will soon come to take him home. But I can’t think of it happening to a more deserving person. If President Nixon had not pardoned John McCain for war crimes, he would have been court marshaled for treason. And here he is in congress being herald as a war hero by some.
