Trust me. Your life is not under your control. I just had a 2½-hour phone conversation with a woman, I have never met.

She lives in southern Ohio, and friended me on FB.

Within that 2½-hour conversation, I discovered that a chain reaction of events were set in motion with Tyler's suicide back in 2013.

None of what happened to me, in my current state, was ever actually in my control. I had a choice in my reactions to it, but the end result was still the same. Where I am currently at, is where I am meant to be. My current job was offered to me two times, before I took it. However, I would have never taken this job, had I not been demoted by my position being eliminated at my last job.(a factor that was out of my control).

Meaning, God had intended me to be in the job I am currently in. He just had to find a way to get me there, because I wasn't listening to Him.

Trust me, on this one. You can fight God's will all you want. In the end, you die or you submit and follow what He wants you to do.

Yeah sometimes I just think I want to start over but then I realized while I do have issues and other stuff like my location and other aspects of my life are rather priveliged.

Hmmm I don't really believe in God so I can't really think how God could play a part in my life. Also does that mean that God WANTED your friend to die young?

UGH! Why does every friend that I have keep telling me I "need to lay off the computer games and books to get laid?" Seriously? I don't mind being alone - I like myself. Some people spend their entire lives avoiding being alone by themselves - they'll even party, get drunk (or high) and recycle exes they know they never loved just to avoid a single moment of being alone. I love being alone. When others are alone, they go "stir crazy" and scramble just to find any piece of distraction willing to give them the time of day. When I'm alone, I go from feeling stressed to peace. That's why I have always been a loner - I enjoy people, just in small doses lol.
As a matter of fact, I have been happy, bubbly and at peace with myself since my last ex went out of my life... because if there was ever a time when I wanted the distraction of "getting laid" it was because I wound up not liking to be alone with myself while I was with him. Because during those times, my self esteem plummeted... and I relied too heavily on him to make things "right," even though some of it wasn't all entirely his fault... because I'm still battling my cancer issue... which is another reason why I hesitate to approach this man. I used to be relatively decent looking until my condition flared up again...
Yes, I would always prefer being able to share a happy life with someone else - but that is not a need for me at this point (as much as it is a want). I just heard great things about this man at work, and just wanted to find an honest approach (that isn't contrived) to learn more about him... So, no - I will not pretend to want to hang out with others to be near him, nor will I wear a Star Wars shirt to coax a response out of him, lol.

God is the central form of pure, balanced energy in the universe... but that part is just my opinion.
