LOL ... there are alot of people over 40 and single ... LOL... me included. 
Have to get of the couch and out of the house to see them.
It is tough going out as a single person ... but doing something...anything ... is better than hibernating..

Well, pushing 50 here but still a young 49 (refuse to grow up entirely).

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one! Yes totally agree, most of my friends are married soooooo hard to meet single men and I am also getting tired of going places and doing things by myself. Good things come to those who wait......so everyone tells me.lol

Most of the time I enjoy what I do and my sanity, that I have most of my life undercontrol.
Yet, there a moments and many times I wonder whether I among the last of the pre historic man.
I will not pretend that I have the answers to ever finding someone in my life, someone to love and enjoy the moments with. There are many wonderful and good looking guys out there so growing 40 and above is no fun.
Having male friends I mean friends only, not otherwise(sexually) is easy for me but having a women friend is hard.
Just thought I can share this with you women.

You are all definitely right. We over 40 stay in too much. We won't meet anyone in our homes. We need to go out and live life. I live in Ajax and man it is quiet here. All my friends are married and I always feel like a 5th wheel when we go out. I started going to the gym but right home after.  Why?
