I've always classified myself as a BBW. Don't know how accurate that is but oh well. I'm 5'10" and some extra around the middle. I love me. I think I'm sexy and don't mind my extra. As for the BBM out there. Speaking for me personally, I don't want a stick of a man. I want a man who makes me feel safe. I want to know if we're walking down the street and got mugged I wouldn't have to protect him lol. Everyone has a type. Everyone has likes and dislikes in a partner. I wont date someone shorter than me. I think it looks funny lol. As long as you are happy and love yourself that's all that matters.

Since when do movies depict "real life"....why are so many young girls dying from Anorexia and Bulemia?? Because men can have the beer bellies and etc, but women who have to bear the children and cook the meals are expected to remain perfectly thin...it's ludicrous. ALL people are not meant to be thin..they have done studies on it. When will you men learn to accept someone for who they are??

That's all fine and well. No one is saying anything about your choice; but you did not have to say it in that context. It was rude and unacceptable. I am sure it has hurt some very wonderful people's feelings, people I consider my friends. What's next?

A person is so much more than their physical appearance. I use to be considered "thin" and "pretty". Then I became deadly ill, my kidney's failed and I gained a huge amt of weight from meds and being on dialysis.
I have lost more than half of the gain and working to lose some more. But my point is.... I am the same person I was before. Maybe even more compassionate for what I have been through.
But I have first hand experience of just how cruel poeple can be and how rude. It has made me change what I find acceptable in men.

thats my point,dangerous8700!! thank you. all these women can give the most cutest,buttered up comments that they want to,but...even the heavy women are redicilous in who they choose to talk to,and go on dates with. if im wrong,then lets do an experiment.i want all the guys that are in this forum here to tell me how many heavy women have returned their email....case solved. you're all picking at me when i USED to be heavy...yes,me. truth is....men dont get a reply back from someone they email,so they lower their standards and start replying to the chunkier ones. i dont HATE heavy people,so stop being harsh on me. because the topic in this forum was in the interest of DATING them. and...i gave an honest opinion,so stop the whining. any heavy person will admit that if they were given a  choice to be overweight or thin....they'de pick thin. too lazy to do something about it though.
I use to be 145#'s. Then, due to PCKD, my kidney's failed, I became very ill. Due to dialysis, med, and not being able to be as active as I had been; I ballooned up to 300#'s. I have lost more than half of what I gained but I will never be 140 again. And that is ok because I now feel healthier and am more active than I have been since I was 35. I learned a lot about myself and TO BE COMPASSIONATE, to realize how a offhand comment can crush someone who is already dealing with a heavy heart.
And I suppose that even if I got back to 140, I would be rejected for my surgery scars!!!!

I look at any person I am friends with for who they are: are they honest? Do we have similar interest? Is this someone I have fun with?
Because the bottom line is, if I am looking for my soulmate or someone to have an intimate relationship with, it is going to be with someone I want as a friend as well.
Looks change over time, sometimes in an instant. You love someonen's soul and that has nothing to do with their physical appearance.
