In CA it is the mendcino coast, in CO it is a spot on Berthold Pass, and in OR I enjoy the camp grounds out side of Glide to Crater Lake.

 little harrisson lake! big cutthroats crystal clear water and the best part.... no forest service trail!!! 7 miles of bushwacking and ridge running!!

I have to agree with you Chickadee. Cumberland Falls it the coolest place I've ever camped. But the place I camp the most is Hocking Hills in Ohio. Next is Scioto Trails State Park in Ohio. Thats quickly becoming my favorite because of less people.

8 miles in and 3000' feet above my own backyard.
The view of my backyard after sundown.
The hummingbirds, mainly black chinned and broad tailed, are up there en masse. It's next to the only reliable water source within about 5 miles.

Central Florida, i'd have to say Wekieva Springs, The water is crystal clear and 72 deg every day of the year. Taling the kayak down the river is a smooth run.

The Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming, Great place,I feed all the critters up there except the carnivores! Have a moose friend that loves bread,feed the squirells,chipmunks,birds, even the Rufus hummingbirds, I think they look forward to my arrival each year. I usually send a minimum of two months there, just me and my beloved dog. rose::

I liked camping at Lake Tahoe, Ca. one year we were swinning and tanning looking at snow capped mountians, The air smelled of pine. For me it was very relaxing. Also in Chilcot in Ca. also by a shallow stream, lots of trees, and hiking.
