Oh...I was about 13 and my b/f was 15. He knew that I liked to do a certain type of craft, but materials weren't easy to find...I was away for the summer (all the way across the country) and one day I received a package from him with all the stuff that I needed...He send me sooo much that I still have some of it to this day...

Blacy--- the most romantic date I've had was a total surprise for me. He had set up a small table with two chairs, and built a small fire. He brought wine, wine glasses, flowers and marshmellows. We roasted the marshmellows, drank some wine, talked and danced in the moonlight to CDs he played on his truck stereo. Simple things but so sweet, romantic and showed he had put some thought into planning our time together.

This is just an idea for the men. You can take your date to McDonald's and share a Hot Happy Meal

Walking down the concourse at the airport, saw him with roses. He glanced, then looked past me. Walking up behind him...the look on his face, priceless.

Wild Daisies have always been my favorite flower. The farm that my Grandparents owned had a field that yeilded the most beautiful daisies every summer, my esboyfriends birthday is June 30. So one year he stopped and asked the people that now own that farm if he could pick some of those daisies he then gave them to me for his birthday. Just the thought of him giving me a piece of my Grandprents again was very touching to me.

Honesty and truly, it was a package of bugs. I know that does not at all sound romantic, but it was. I was in the middle of a very, very busy semester. I was working 40 hrs and going to school 18. I had a project that included insects that I needed to find. I did not think I was going to make the deadline and was a bit frazzled about it. The man I was seeing at the time listened and heard and delivered all of the bugs I had no time to collect. Flowers would have been nice, but the fact that he was truly listening was very romantic. At that moment, waaaaaaay better than the romantic eve we had later would have been at that particular moment. The romantic eve was realllly nice later.

One of the most romantic nights I can remember is having my BF at the time set up a night of pure indulgence for me. I was greeted at the door with a NOTE telling me to get undressed in the stairway going up to our second floor appartment. (It was private) Then a NOTE telling me to put on a silk robe he bought me. Before I opened the second door to the apartment there was a NOTE on it telling me to go straight into the bathroom. So I did and found it to be lit with candles and a hot oil bath ready and waiting for me to relax. With a NOTE on the mirror I followed those instructions into the dining room where I was greeted with flowers, a wonderful dinner prepared by him and a bottle of wine for us to share!

Needless to say the rest of the night went magically!! LOL

My last boyfriend would buy me a card everyday and put it in my patrol car at work(he worked there to and started before me) he would put the card on my computer and close it, or in the trunk, everyday it was somewhere different, It was sweet, and a good way to start a long 12 hour shift

I recieved one rose that said "Go to the service dept. at Bon Ton". There, they handed me a wrapped gift (lg dept. store up north - PA that wraps presents also). In it was a small bear holding a lil note that said, "Go to the ladies dept" - I went there, they had a bag with a couple tops in it with another note "Go to the perfume dept" - there I got a gift pack and a note "Go to the jewelry dept" - there I rec'd a bag with 3 boxes of earrings and a nice lil note. Thought he was the love of my life then, one day he says - It is him or me - I chose my 16 yr old son. I was heartbroken that he gave me such an ultimatum (just because my son got an underage drinking citation) - he has since graduated HS and Culinary Arts school and done his externship at The Breakers in Palm Beach - my ex - he wrote his own son off to save $$ in child support and moved away. Sorry to ruin the mood - but life is full of twists/turns!!!

My ex husband use to sneak out of bed, tip toeing the whole time, make me a wonderful breakfast, coffee, juice and fruit with pancakes, put in my favorite movie, light a yankee candle, and make me a bed on the couch, then he'd write me the sweetiest letter and leave, he'd then call me from his cell phone, telling me he forgot to lock the door when he left and ask me to get up and lock it, then he would hang up and I would then get up and walk into the living room to find all the wonderful things he had done for me, he did that at least once a week for my god almost 10 years, I saved every note every letter he left for me and still read them today, very sweet.

For him, wow theres so many things, once I knew how drained he was from working so I asked a friend to help me and we totally drove to a lake and set up a whole camping trip for him and 4 of his buddies, all his buddies knew about it and didn't tell, I even had a poker table set up under a tarp, all the food and beer in the coolers, 2 huge fishing day planned, all the camp wood stacked, he loved camping but it was a drag sometimes setting up and packing up at the end, he got there to find everything ready and said he just melted in a lawn chair for the first 12 hours, I use to love doing things to surprise him, made our 22 yrs together very romantic.

Sweet Romie
