Giving up one of my dogs would be like giving up my daughter no way, I would never ask someone to give up a pet, I know how important mine are to me.

I would not give up my pet for someone. I chose that pet and made a commitment to make it part of my family, would they ask me to give up another family member, absolutely not.
I think that would speak greatly about what type of person someone is to ask something like that of you...and I personally would reconsider.

YAY Slinky has been removed! Oh happy day.

Funny thing I had to tell, I got one of those e mails with a survey and one question that had to be answered about me was "what one thing would this person take to a desereted island." This guy who answered said i would take my dog. He knows me. LOL

My cat is entirely psychotic ..but in her quiet times..she's my little Baby Girl..it only took 2 years for her to warm up to my Dad's last g/f ..lol.. wouldnt go to her..but allowed Betty to pick her up without biting her hands..

I almost gave away the cat last year..my then live in girlfriend said..either the cat goes..or else..I was almost ready to send the cat away..probly to her death, cuz no one wants an 8 year old, evil cat.
Glad I kept her..the cat..should the question come up again..I'd have to do some serious thought..if she or her child is allergic to cats..and the allergy medicine is too expensive for us to afford..I might give my cat to a relative. My brother has kept the cat for me while I've been out of town..she might get used to him..and I could still visit her.
I'm keeping my options open..if I am to trudge to road to happy destiny with my better half..I will do what it takes , and if that means moving my Baby Girl across town..I'll do it.

Nope, sorry, its not going to happen. Not without a darn good reason!!! I had a Rott once, a few years back, and my ex didnt like her and so badly wanted me to get rid of her. She was completely harmless, just really hyper. He knew I had the dog when we first started dating so it was very unfair to ask me later to get rid of her, all because it wasnt the kind of dog he liked!! Hell, his 8 year old daughter loved playing with my dog!!
